NO! DAMMIT!

That really dissapoints me. Did you give into the whining? It used to be all new and exiting and now it's back to mucho gold and lame ass who cares who wins grindfest?

so true. i really can't understand that change. Matches were really exiting yesterday, I give all to make my team win, now i will not really care anymore.
Anyway... thanks for some fixes.

chadz you are a genious. BTW - Thank you much for the Danish sword. I actually liked the expensive system, but let's see how this will work. Super work.

it's not the whine that was the reason for it. People on the losing side started to wear nothing and just wait for the end of the round. I couldn't think of anything that fixes it, other than that.

However, the most important thing now is the multiplicator, which doesn't sound that bad, does it? The problem before was you were punished twice (less multiplicator, pay maintenance). I think there was no reason for this.

Easy fix for that, make is so that if a person kills someone that round they don't have to pay maintenance even if their team loses.  That way people will be encouraged to wear their good stuff even when on a losing team as they will want to make kills and avoid maintenance.  This will also act as a reward for skill.  And put back the maintenance to 20%, or at least don't dismiss that idea totally.  As I got a feeling a 5% penalty won't dis-way people from being tin cans all the time, which was something you wanted to fix in the first place.

EDIT

The whole random maintenance thing does not make much sense.  Its just a random money sink.  If you are going to use a money sink attach it to something that will reward good play and punish bad.

I think you just completely forgot matters of motivation. On long term there will be no motivation playing cRPG, as more money doesn't help anything, because you can't afford more expensive items, unless you run around naked for a while. Getting higher levels is only fun until lvl 30, then it gets back to the grind you didn't want.

Basically your only motivation for winning a round is getting a higher multiplier for things you don't really need...

Did you also take in concern that you can't just suppose a 50/50 win/loss-ratio? If you win, lose, win, lose and so on you will have less money after ten rounds with 5 wins and 5 losses alternating, than with 5 losses and 3 wins in a row.  :?  :?:

Well okay i understand that.

But this is how i see it:
Every round, i had to think about what i dared to wear. Do i dare wear my plate? Do i think i can win this round? And if yes, then i used nice gear, maybe get a few siege shields or a ladder for my team...

Now that breaking is just random, that great new feature is totally gone.

I might reduce the break chance for winners. Or increase the maintenance, if it looks like there's too high armor in general.

Lets see how it goes, first. Then we do changes :)

Thanks the changes.

I dont know if it was a bug or bad luck

But most times I had to pay upkeep in my last few hours online it was my courser+longsword over and over again...I lost like 20k. Hope this fixes that.

There is now a link that only includes the small files, pack it into your Modules/cRPG/ folder:

There is a problem, chadz must update server first, Zoidberg.

Please, do that, chadz.
