Scaling was removed from the game. In theory.

Can you clarify this statement some please?  You say scaling was removed yet in larger army battles respawning takes MULTIPLE tickets away.  Are you saying this is unintended?

As it stands, having a large army is actually detrimental as the ticket count is not even half of face value.  Smart attackers would attack in smaller waves to maximize their ticket counts and wear down large armies.

No, it effects both armies based on the size of the smallest one. Also, it is currently in the best interest to be the attacker, and to win the battle.
