Kicking people out of village is bugged

I have been trying to kick people out of villages since we took our first village and every single time I get the Fail message, then we switch village ownership and a clanmate does it and it succeeds everytime.  I am wondering what is going on here???  Tried it on over 30 people, including myself, and I can't kick people from a village ever, what gives???

Still trying - 0% success rate since I started strategus, 100% by one of my clanmates.   What gives???

are you sure you have been inside the fief? you must be owner of the fief and stationed inside it.

Kesh, try switching browsers if you haven't already. Worked fine for me on Chrome, and I believe I heard it doesn't work on Firefox or IE, but why would anyone use IE? ;)

It works for me 100% of the time on Firefox, but it 100% never works on internet explorer.

Same kinda thing happens to us, when a rank 10 person tries to change another members rank nothing happens, not even a fail message though.
