A shitty round-based medieval fighting game, cos that hasnt been done before.

Let's compete with Bannerlord by making an IDENTICAL (yet cheaper) game.

Lots of people came to cRPG because they wanted a multiplayer version of the native map, a persistent competitive multiplayer with fiefs and conflict on the map. Many of them found it to be clunky, poorly explained and with no up-to-date guides. Making something that is a competent version of Strategus with an actual guide or tutorial in-game would be awesome.

Strategus was like a cancer in crpg, if it had been cut out early maybe the game would gave survived.

The native strategic map was pure shit, strategus was pure shit. The only good thing to ever come from mount and blade and crpg was the combat mechanics.

Too bad the were constantly changed into unrecognition, and thus the decline of interest in all the players.

Theres a tweak in the hitboxes coming out soon (I don't think it was included in the revert patch, I think it was literally just reverts).

I made the animation because I thought the old one was unrealistic and looked bad. (it was one of the few animations left over from before taleworlds used mocap)
So I learnt how to animate and went through many versions, poked Tydeus many times and finally presented it to the community in a suggestion thread.

It's not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with it. (The animation not the implementation)

Yeah it's not how I pictured it.
There is two main parts to animations in warband, the animation itself and the implementation (Module system).
Basically I had to guess what frames to use where in the module system (hard to test), guessed wrong.
There wasn't enough frames towards on and after full extension, in the 'attacking' phase. With sweetspots peaking at roughly 60% of the 'attacking' phase, and dropping off at the beginning and end => bouncing way too easily.

This has all been changed, it should now hit more solidly at the end of the stab.
Also I've made it look better in transition (feinting is better).

It's not in yet as the revert took priority (autobalance bugs etc), when next patch rolls around it should be in.


Why not just change all animations in the game? Why not change all the models? Why not change all the textures? Why not change all the sounds ( wait we already fucking did that right).

People started playing crpg for a reason, that reason is almost gone now due to constant unwarranted changing of core game mechanics.
Fucking up siege with ballistaes and conquest was a crippling blow in itself, but all the warping of how combat works has totally wrecked everything.

Rollback last 3 years,  do it now.

It was a glorious time, population was at its peak in crpg history as well!

Talk about going in the wrong direction.

All the flaws with the mod crpg was based upon a wrong perception of what people really want to play.

If all focus had been on creative a awesome fighting game it would not only still be a popular mod, it would be hugely successfull.
Strat and shitty maps and weird patches changed all that, and the mod is dying.

Making a shitty lowbudget sandbox mmo (it has been done before, about 100 times) wont be played by anyone.

It should be like crpg 2012, with 120players on siege. Except better.

That would be worth playing.

This is insane, i just made a sarcastic joke about ruining the other weaponspecs in another thread, and here is an actually serious post about it.

Yes! Lets ruin the game we all love by changing it until it cant be recognised. HURRAY!

I am the only one who makes the connection between rapidly declining population, and senseless retarded changes to a game that doesnt need to be changed, and hasnt for the last 2-3 years.

I never had much use for admins.
What cant be accomplished through a "nice" conversation in the chat, can certainly be done by pure violence.

Just remove that "5 teamwounds to be kicked feature" and let the servers regulate themselves.
It used to work great.
