Yeah and I´d buy it in a heartbeat even though I´m broke but unfortunately having to buy a new rig raises the price from 17€ to 1217€

I just joined some random vanilla server after not playing MP M&B for years.
I went third place with a 8/2 kd without ever upgrading my starting equip.

Again my kd here was 65/160.

I want this mod back right. fucking. now.

maybe I´d try OKAM but it requires 8GB ram and I only have 4. Not to mention all other reqs
not sure which MP mod I should play now :(

Honestly how can a mod like this just die, ppl invested hundreds of hours  :? I thought of it as smth like Counter Strike tbh. That it simply would not die.

well I kinda wondered why I only found empty NA servers just now when I reset my PW, and no EU servers at all.
how come it died? weird. I mean warband has 10 500 players on steam atm.

uhm... so what should I play for multiplayer warband atm?

Well not that I was ever that "into it" since my stats page says k/d 65/160
However I remember doing a fair share of research on how to spec my (infantry) char. However now I find that everything has been reset and I have no idea how I was specced before.
I am lvl 33. My inventory is:

Helmet with Lamellar Guard, weight 1.8
Light Kuyak w 12.9
Leather Gloves w 0.3
Rus Cavalry Boots w 0.8

Warhammer w 3.3
Huscarl Round Shield w 8
Knightly Arming Sword w 1.7
____
w 28.8

I remember fine tuning the equipment towards meeting the weight req but I have no idea what my strength etc was

I have 32 attribute points, str 3, agi 3
57 weapon points
34 skill points

Can someone help me back on my feet?  :)

Thanks!

But doesn´t carrying a second weapon considerably slow me down?

Well this is my setup atm:

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Although I almost liked my steel pick & plate covered round shield setup better. What really annoys me about the huscarl shield is the size of that thing, even in 3rd person it blocks visibility.

And I doubt I´ll retire right away at lvl 31, I´ve had enough of that damn lvling up by now and the thought of starting as a peasant again.... bah. Anyway, I´ll go 18/18 first and see what happens then...

General Discussion / Re: Remove Polls and "M" forever pls
« on: April 30, 2012, 05:28:51 pm »
Teamhit polling should be more consequences. i vote to the decrease from 5 to 4 hits. Many situations people going for frags and dont care if he teamhit you. Many times is has been killed by such a thing.

So? Most of my teamhits(they are few) come from the fact that I´m in a 1-1 with someone and someone else dedcides to greedily steal the kill, resulting in me hitting the stealer rather than the enemy. Yesterday someone jumped right in front of me when I was swinging at an enemy, resulting in me hitting my team mate & him reporting me though it only happened because of his greed...
I often back away from fights that I started because the mass of greedy stat whores comes to rush in and it is clear that there will be TKs when 2 pikes, 3 2h and 4 archers try to take down one freaking guy. So the greedy ones can rush without a worry and everyone else has to really watch their strikes when they decide to try and go in for a nice little kill steal, yeah awesome

I decided to go pure shielder for now.

I´m 24 now, at 31 I could either be

21/18

IF 3 or 4
PS 7
Sh 6
Ath 6
WM 3 or 4

or 18/21

IF 3
PS 6
Sh 7
Ath 7
WM 3

I wonder what would be more noticable, the additional dmg and health from 21/18 or the additional speed and durability from 18/21?

cRPG Technical problems / Re: K/D does not get updated

Aaah that explains it. Yes, in siege games I even get decent k/d by now, but on the battle server I mostly get my butt kicked. Oh well.

cRPG Technical problems / K/D does not get updated
« on: April 30, 2012, 01:25:11 am »
I noticed that my K/D hasn´t been updated for ages and before it wouldn´t update after every game either, only sometimes. I very much dislike being stuck with 13:49  I play on EU 1&2. Any ideas why that might happen?

Ah, sort of a specialists item. Well, I´ll keep it in my inventory and maybe try it again later...

On another note, reading through this thread and another one that was linked here helped me get a little better. Most important thing is to be aggressive as a shielder and I was pretty passive
Also, I noticed that if you wanna play good first person is just out of the question in this game. It´s a shame, though, I much prefer it.

Oh, and I now use the plate covered round shield. It serves me good so far.

Take a niuweidao and a round steel buckler wear light armors and use 15-24 build.

Wow yeah I fell for that one, didn´t I
Seriously, is that round steel buckler a joke item to piss of newbies or something?
Can´t believe I spent 7000 on that thing
It breaks faster then my Nordic Shield and good lord, the size of that thing...

Yeah I noticed that right away :D But for siege it´s actually acceptable imo, since there is so much stationary combat

Ok good to know. Though I think I want at least medium armor eventually. It´s no fun to die by 2 hits at best. I only use the gear I use because I don´t have much cash
And yeah, I´ll read through that thread for sure. Thanks for the help
