Recently I came across the Warsword - Conquest Mod for M&B Warband. I tell you, I love it. And this is becouse I really like the Warhammer World. So the goodies:
+ Worldmap of the Auld World + Many playable factions (Empire, Bretonia, Arab, TombKings, Goblins, Orcs, Highelves, Darkelves, Dwarves, Chaos, Skaven, Lizard) + every race has really nice models(nearly) and there are also lots of different monsters, mercs and mounts. Yes there is Alcatanic Mercs, Ogers for hire in taverns, Goblins riding giand spiders and wolves. + there are magic artifacts available if you meet skill requirement or bring medals from tournaments + nice tactical hud integrated into battles (like many other mods have too, but many also dont - and I love tactical hud with minimap and orders graphically presented). + improved AI: it uses formations and theire base tactics. + there is shield bash and braced spears.
The dark side of the moond: - no multiplayer - hard mode (call it unbalance, no guidance for starters, ...) - some bugs still there - come on this is a mod. why isnt it a full fledged, high budged games workshop franchise of glory and splendour - but in my eyes it is.
This is awesome if you like the fantasy warhammer universe. I always had the problem that I didnt emotionally hooked up with calradia - but this mod makes me motivated.
I am an outcast dark elfe. I ally with the pirate kingdom and my aim is to take over Ulthuan to show the dark elve witch king Malekith who is the boss!
Anyone else playing this? Keep me updated if there is updates. Becouse I dont have Nexus membership ... the worst m i n u s is Nexus prime membership aint free. Fuck this.

All funny with new voices. But no dont take a way the whisteling. Its just so nice to draw attention. Whisteling is good and must not be replaced by something else.
How would it be if erveryone could join strat battles just easy, in being on server at time - no teamspeak, no clanbussines, no registration.
Something could be implemented so leader of battle can make settings of how many tickets are reserved for those "irregular mercenaries" and also how many tickets per "irregular" and also the equipent those "irregulars" can use.
Say for example, I give 50 tickets for everybody and theire grandmom - 5 tickets per "irregular", so a max of 10 mercenaries can join. Then I set 20 mailshirts, 20 fuckswords, 20 pimppikes and 10 bloodybows, some boots, strawhats, practiceshields and gauntlets for them to be used. Then hope some people show up to fight on my side. End of story. I'd like that.
Tonight I lay awake and suddenly an idea struck me how to improve c-rpg battle in ways of team balance and gameplay depth. Now we have some kind of clan-stacking and more or less random team-generation every map and a more or less random map-cycle.
My idea was following:
1st) Arrange the maps in three categories
a) Maps with open terrain (open plains and hills with not much cover - good for cav and massive melee)
b) Maps with some cover (ruins, villages, canyons - good for archers)
c) Maps with confined terrain (towns, dense wood, caves - good for streetfighters, stalkers, ambushers)
2nd) At end of first map winning team gets the Multi as usual. But let the losing team vote for next map (next three maps in the cycle voteable - each category a,b,c one map to vote for). EDIT: if there was a commander, maybe let the commander decide the map poll.
3rd) Let the losing team have a revenge in the same configuration with same players (except of autobalance) in the next map, they voted for - no new teammatchup.
4th) If losing team won the revenge they get +2 Multi (or teamvalor). If revenge failed, winning team gets another +1 Multi.
5th) Continue with new random map and new teams.
What it is good for?
The losing team has a chance for revenge on a favorable map. If the losing team was outgunned by cav or range they can choose a better suited map to win against them and if they succeed the whole team gets valor.
And it would be nice to have a little bit more choice about the maps being played. Vote system should be good implemented though, maybe with little preview pictures of the maps to vote for.
The problem Its frustrating to get beaten up by a superior team on two different maps. And may be its to easy for superior team to get Multi. Still its nice to have a revenge on a fresh map I think.
I have in no way any skill or insight in the coding or deeper gamemechanics. So tell me, if you think this could be done in this mod or in m:bg.
From 11.11. to 16.11. I encoutered many disconnects on EU1.
I hope its not a carneval joke.
Before I contact my provider, I want to ask the community, if similar problems are there. Maybe its server sidede? Or is it really a problem on my side. I have no clue, what makes this disconnects happen. I have good ping (29-37) and good framerate (60-100) all the time. But the disconnects keep happening.
Today 24th of June 21:45 MEZ EU1 crashed and after restart none of the official EU servers where registered in my interface. I could only go to NA with awful ping. What was wrong???? There was atleas one other guy who had same problem... and from webpage I could see that on EU only about 10 players where still on... degrading slowly. So server bug! or?
Recently I tried my steel buckler again. It used to be a nice zero slot shield. It is quite expensive, very small with high armour, little hitpoints and intermediate speed. It was nice to have as backup shield for archers or in melee hybrids who want to carry a broader variety of weapons. Now it is one slot like all the other light wight shields
Compared to the other steel shields its of little use now. And I doubt Steel Buckler was overpowered. Compare yourself:
