After changing resolution third time it crashed.  Usually i used default res (1440x900) but on the client it was micro-stuttering non-stop. At lower res (1280x720) micro-stuttering was reduced or gone, map dependent.

But hey, i have card that have abysmal memory bandwidth anyway so i shouldn't complain.

Resolved Issues / [bug?] Shield goes down

I observed it on EU_3 to make sure i'm right. I am unable to recreate it when i want, but when i press rmb all the time, the shield goes down for some amount of time and stay this way for a short amount of time.

It might be my mouse or something else from my side, but it may be also something with launcher.

Steps to replicate: equip shield. stand in place holding down block. move mouse around from left to right fast. (you can hold attack too, it's easier to see it as you normally can't).

Can it be caused by low upload speed?

I tested it on regular client too, the problem is not related to new client - on regular i also have the issue. I think it wasn't there (so glaring, or at all) before .18 version.

It is possible to turn it off, like in dx7 if i remember right, to get awful quality but playable fps ?

Long story short, most of the time i play with what looks like shaders off, and sometimes its quick shaders on, then off. Got it also with different settings (but with high quality shaders it's just wooden buildings and players if i remember correctly, not ground like on abysmal/low)(with different cube/normal/difuse/specular values i get it too).

Strategus General Discussion / Strategus Sugestion

  • Fully integrate strategus into website (after battles, show up if you click "join strategus as hero" button on the battle page)
  • Create new map that have: villages, castles, cities, roads, mines, different categories of terrain suitable for cattle or fishing or ogriculture, caves, forests, bridges
  • Allow people to raze buildings and fiefs and create new ones including also hideouts or temporary encampment or hut villages
  • Allow people to settle in fiefs via renting or owning a property (buying or building one)
  • On open fields, allow defenders to set the battlefield and entrench it a bit
  • Make wooden construction burn to prevent roof camping
  • Let people choose their spawnpoints!
  • On all battlefields put camp for both attackers and defenders, and make people spawn in the camp
  • Victory condition should be not killing all the enemies, but holding the battlefield
  • Change retreat function so armies can flee from battlefield in decent order leaving just some equipment left in camp if they can retreat with the cart intact
  • Make cities and city castle different entities, so enemy can take the city but he have to take castle next (or starve people inside if they don't have enough goods
  • In the city make different building that serve their purpose, like wells and other important buildings
  • Allow people to have set amount of alts on strat that work as blacksmiths, butchers, farmers, shepherds, and main who act as warrior. Those people can produce different goods and stuff
