The last patch looks like a lot of fun with plate donkey, mules and highlander gear... unfortunately since updating I can not start the game any more.

"RGL error: can not open file Modules\cRPG\Resource\plated_donkey_ray_edit.brf"

Can only kill in task manager.

Using native client.

already used "repair" option - to no avail. Ideas?

(WSE2 starts but is unplayable for me atm, some update/driver issue giving abysmal stutter)

Rough estimate for ping on NA?

100 less than Paraguay would already be worth it...

WSE2 Beta / Recent changes? Abysmal framerates and some texture glitches with WSE2

Came back to play a bit after the mod showed faint signs of life again... and noticed odd behavior when using wse2

- my framerates used to be 100-120, on some maps in the 90s. Now I get 50-70 and the whole thing feels very jerky and stuttery as if the actual framerate was around 20... I even turned down some settings to make it playable, which I never needed to do before.

- sometimes I get blueish-semitransparent texture glitches (only ground textures, I think), but this is not consistent. Happens on some maps, on some not, and the texture is ok part of the time or when you turn a bit. Weird shit. And no, I did not smoke strange things...

Been using WSE forever, and never experienced any of this in the past.
When i switch to the native client, everything works fine and framerates are good and smooth, with all settings maxed.

Have there been any changes that might affect SLI configurations (2x 650M here) or what could the problem be?

Don't break your back, since it works with native client and mod dead anyways, but maybe it is a small setting or minor fix - as a my old friendcher I somewhat miss the ability to change my FOV ;-)

(actually things are moving along nicely and I will just keep playing a bit here and there, no need to be totally abstinent...)

So I tried to recreate my ugly face (my ssd got fried after I left, so reinstall...), shaved my head but for the ponytail - and the beard of course, and here Hirlok is again, in modest pilgrim garb... ;-)

When I gave away my loomz many of you offered to give them back if I changed my mind.
Nah - keep them. And nobody needs to feel obliged to anything.

But: I'll try a slightly different style - and in case anyone has a dusty loom point and/or one of the items I would like to loom - I would not mind.

Pilgrim disguise & hood

Hey guys - I know you have squeezed the last cents out of your credit cards to support the donkey crew in their ~~lost cause~~ very successful Kickstarter campaign.

Yet - there are other things in this world as well beyond gaming and the dark basements most of you are hiding in...

So I ask you for your promotional help and/or money. The goal is way less ambitious, the effects way more immediate.

We (my friend and me) are currently in a tight spot (financially and man-power wise) here, trying to help a few wounded / neglected / underfed / not neutered dogs and cats in the neighborhood.

So I have started ~~a billion dollar kickstarter campaign~~ a little GoFundMe fundraiser.

Link it, facebook it, tweet it or otherwise promote it, if you will.

As stated in my "gibbe loomz" thread I have given my loomz to the poor and my loved ones. Most likely I won't be around a lot on the servers for a couple months - and who knows if c-rpg will still be around when I am back to gaming... ;-)

So - for all you beloved headcases that have shared countless hours of fun with me over the past ~ 4 years:

we would not necessarily become "friends" outside of this game, but here in this idyllic space of slaughter and insults we were - and I would like to keep in touch with some of you. Maybe we meet in other games (I might even have lower ping then, LOL) or even IRL when I start traveling the US next spring and find a new Hermit Hut there...

'k guys - real life calls, and the last patch has finally made clear that it is time to move on...

It was years of fun, and I hold no grudges (not even against Tydeus ;-) - only against anyone who ever used a horse or shield, YOU BASTARDS!!!)

Guess you will see Hirlok the Hermit in Bannerlord, LiF or whatever comes up next and is a bit less biased against old archers...

Suggestion: anyone not near flags at the end of round should be automatically excluded from valor.

Valor whores fighting their 1vs1 dick comparisions in some corner of the map with total disregard for team and fatherland should not be encouraged.
