TBH I like strategy games and similar stuff a lot more than action based games. E.g. Port Royale (PR 3 is announced for 2012 :D), The Guild 2 (I'm "a bit" involved in the development of the latest addon of this game, so please forgive me the bad placed advertising for our next project (http://www.kontor-game.com) :)), Birth of the Federation (that's pretty old, but I still like to play it) and of course the Total War series.

I'm gonna wait and see what Red Orchestra 2 will look like, i prefer WW2 over Modern Warfare. Hope they will crack some servers for it so i don't have to buy the original. :wink:

Btw from time to time i play League of Legends. Gotta kill off some working time. :twisted:

(prvi put sastavljen prije 9. od tada bezbroj puta apgrejdan, overklokan, sastavljen od 4 do 5 kompova) :lol:

I'm some sort of "computer specialist" in my family, so all my relatives and friends come to me if they have a problem. Unfortunately they don't sell those "No, I won't fix your computer"-shirts anymore.. :/

However, #1 problem is called "Acer". Especially because of overheating (My cousin bought himself an Aspire with a core i7 CPU about a year ago. That machine gets up to 110°C before it crashes and he sent it to Acer already 3 times because of that).
I can only give you the advice to not buy a laptop with the intention to play on it, because if you really want a device that's able to serve nowadays games and features decent quality (and support - Acer's support is nearly as bad as no support at all...) you pay about 1500 euros.

Yes i know that acer has a heat problem but i dont have anywhere near 1500 euros so if i have to choose between:

i3 processor shitty graphic 2-4 gb ram and no heat

vs

i5 processor above avrg graphics and 8 gb ram with heat

ill choose the latter and buy a keyboard so i dont burn my fingers

That's not the problem, the problem is that the laptop won't get much older than 1 year, if you're not lucky. And Acer mostly gives 1 year warranty (which includes ~4 weeks of waiting if something is broken).
You will have problems with that machine and you will have to wait for a long time until they're fixed - if they get fixed at all. So I'd go for the i3 machine with 2-4GB RAM and shitty graphics, because on that machine you can still play minesweeper while the Acer laptop is either broken or being repaired.
Of course you may be lucky having no problems at all for more than 2 or 3 years, but that may become an expensive bet for you.

@Corwinus: Depends on where you live, Toshiba has support partners in some towns so if something breaks it doesn't take long until it's fixed. HP has good support if you go for the more expensive business support.

That changes things a bit :) At least you can get on their nerves if something's broken :D
About the improved quality.. I don't know, the Aspire my cousin bought one year ago was of so poor quality I nearly began to cry when I saw it (and that costed about 1500 Euro).

Here are my 1st impressions: The packing box is pretty basic, altho the laptop itself is protected by multiple layers and even a cloth ending so i guess it does the job lol

I was expecting a low quality design since Acer doesent pay much attention to the exterior but i must say i was pleasently suprised. The plastic seems sturdy and the laptop itself has smooth lines and looks quite nice. Feels good on touch, nothing special. What impressed me the most is the full numpad keyboard with spacious lettering and it also feels very good when you type. The touchpad could be a bit larger but ill be using the mouse all the time so no worries there. Cant realy judge the screen yet but it seems ok, you can watch the image from all angles with no problem. The opening and screen ajustment parts also seem sturdy and well made. They could have fitted more usb ports tho, there are 2 usb and one usb 3.

So all in all im pretty happy with the exterior.
