I would suggest not using the whole achievement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achievement_%28heraldry%29), but only the coat of arms as your ingame banner, in a simplified version. Or maybe only the flag, as it looks good by itself, too. Will look better, as everything else will be too pixelated.
Colour of the back of Heraldic armour can't be changed :rolleyes: Someone seriously needs to make a code or something that lets you do that.

Has anyone looked into changing the back colors of the heraldry in multiplayer? I know it can be done in Singleplayer, but I'm curious how difficult it would be to change this for Multiplayer/if it would even work? My concern is that editing the scripts.txt file (which determines banner back color) would disallow multiplayer play - unless everyone was using the bannerpack. Also this guide is for singleplayer. Will have to see if it works for multiplayer at all.cmpx said he was working on it, maybe with WSE it would be possible

I'm not sure about this banner, so I'm going to ask for Leiknir or Gorath's opinions on it.
Both of those banners do the same mistake again. They have their heraldic (that thingy on your shields), what usually belongs onto the banner, but want the whole achievement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achievement_%28heraldry%29) on their banner to make it look cooler. Just cut out the fancy stuff and simply use what you got in the shields, you get an awesome (and fitting) banner.
Yes, I mean you got a horse on a shield. That horse is your banner. When a Lord of BIA would send a formal letter to some other lord, he would use the what you currently have (the helmet and the banner on the shield) as head of the letter, but he would only paint the horse on his shield.

Black backs are rare, I think they are all taken. Why not stick with the red theme?

Certain unicorns are appropriate as they did show up on medieval banners. Granted, all of the "My Little Poney" unicorns better die in a fire...
The Cards one is not too bad though, in my opinion.
The Pink bear though is just terrible for the "serious" theme promised, and the panda bear is suspect.

By the way, I have tested the DDS Texture with a higher resultion (2048 x 2048 px). And the banners in-game really look better with this size.
Perhaps you could create the banner pack in future with this resolution. The quality of the banner would increase this way.

Mucho Gracias for changing the banner Kalam, however i wanted to ask about the b-2-4 slot. It says nowhere that it's already taken,however there's some custom banner (eagle) on it's place at the moment. Was the slot reserved by someone or is it some kind of misunderstaning? We really wanted to use that slot because it makes a perfect match with our banner's colour on heraldic armors.

Blend the swords with the back a little more and remove the shadows from said swords and you're good to go.

The guard banner appears 2 times (ingame, when choosing banners for the char), once on the 2nd last page and once on the last page, could you remove it from the last page and put something else in, pretty please? :P

On a serious note about that, does it matter which one you choose, I know they look the same but I have a problem where I tend to be on the opposite to my Guard friends. Is it because I am choosing a banner that looks the same or is a different slot? I assume that the banner balance is done by the slot co-ords. If that's the answer we'll have to make sure which one is which! :)

Are there any rules against a new clan using an established clans banner? There seem to be some new players from Europe or asia (all are 130+ pings) playing on NA servers that have been using our banner. Doesnt help that they are terrible and also somewhat of asshats

After a new patch I it will update each time. To throw in folder Crpg with replacement of files. Council if will do a logo at first look as it it will be looked on a heraldic armour. You have to drag the files out of the downloaded bannerpack folder and drop them on the textures folder. It should ask you to overwrite, click yes to all. :)Awesome! It works now. Thanks a bunch!

Kalam is away, so Arked has taken over the responsibility of managing the banner pack. Unfortunately, this means that the banner pack linked in Kalam's original post is outdated. Just because Arked is in Shogunate does not necessarily mean that his banner pack is EU and Kalam's banner pack is NA.
Also, if you take a look at the file name of the download link quoted in my previous post, it says "Kalam's Banner Pack v3.5" and not "Arked's Banner Pack v3.5"

I dont think that one will make it in the alternative pack. To many details etc. Try to get it more simple and more like a banner actually could have been.

If you want it to be a seam you can make it blend a little and then make it a sort of dotted line perhaps. It would need more work though.

We have 5 active members playing and more on the way.
I made a quick banner for our clan and saw that there is no blatant lettering aloud. I seem to recall letters on other peoples clan banners. So here is what I have so far. If the letters are not ok then I will erase them and resubmit it.

I think the banner goes with the name. We were lords of order who turned towards the way of chaos.
Hence the chaos star.
Also I did that in paint. I will play around with it some more. Don't know how to add texture to it but I will try.

Sorry to the most serious and non troll related whatsoever USA clan members, the US flag looks cool in game but I think it will lead to much misconduct - not to speak of provoking nasty comments, on patriotic side as well as anti-American ones. I like the Reddit banner. There are plenty that aren't medieval:The Inquisition? Invictus' is pretty damn pixelated, The Cochon one you(Niemand) designed is another. The Chaos one doesn't look banner-y at all. It looks like a poster.

I would suggest not using the whole achievement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achievement_%28heraldry%29), but only the coat of arms as your ingame banner, in a simplified version.
