The kingdom of Raemeria was heaven on earth. Peaceful and enlightened its inhabitants lived and prospered in tranquility eagerly exploiting its vast agricultural possibilities. Famine and starvation was unheard of in Raemeria, but not in the neighboring kingdoms.

Countless wars had exhausted the resources of the surrounding lands and famine and disease took its merciless toll. Driven by hunger, greed and sheer bloodlust the jealous kings and warlords marshaled their armies and marched beyond the borders of Raemeria burning and looting everything that stood in their path. They met little resistance and managed to march to the gates of the mighty fortress Njawarad.

They besieged the fortress, trying to starve out the stalwart garrison, but the fortress was well supplied and in the end it was the besiegers who starved, not being able to gather provisions as every farm, village and town lay looted behind them. Having lost innumerable soldiers, the living ones on the verge of mutiny, the kings and warlords decided to assault the walls.

The moat surrounding the fortress was filled with the countless corpses allowing the besiegers to reach the legendary walls, while sustaining massive casualties from the murderous barrage. Siege ladders and siege towers were brought to the walls, the attackers quickly overwhelming the outnumbered defenders, though suffering many losses.

The defenders stood their ground and all of them fell, taking with them hordes of their savage attackers. Arimacht Duztrovich, king of Raemeria was among the fallen, but his only son and heir Prince Vazimir was not found. He had disappeared without a trace. But mere weeks after the fall of Njarawad the remaining the kings and warlords started dying under peculiar circumstances. The armies, severely weakened and many of them leaderless split up, the levied peasants finally going home. The journey was long, however, and not all Raemerias inhabitants had died.

The war against Raemeria had drained whatever resources were left outside Raemeria, and the kings and warlords, those of them who survived were no longer able to control their starving populations. Riots broke out, revolutions and civil wars soon to follow, but then something strange happened.

A new warlord appeared in what little remained of Raemeria, claiming to be the lost heir of the deceased king Arimacht, and with him he brought three things that would forge a new empire. He brought a banner, tattered yet radiant in the sun, depicting a bird, a soaring phoenix on a deep blue background. He brought his faithful warband the last survivors of the battle at Njarawad, all grim veterans determined on dying for their new lord and last, but certainly not least, he brought rain. It rained till the scorched soil of Raemeria was fertile once more, and around him his people gathered, rebuilding their homes and their homeland, farms, villages and towns rising from the ashes.

With Vazimir crowned king, Raemeria grew once more, flourishing beyond measure. Abbandoned by their deceased sovereigns the surrounding lands were easy prey, and Vazimir, avenging his father, quickly took the kingdoms one by one forging a mighty empire. For many years Emperor Vazimir Duztrovich ruled the empire of Raemeria but he became old, eventually and shortly before he died he decided that the Empire of Raemeria should have three sovereigns. An emperor, subject to no one but god, and two kings, one ruling the kingdom of Raemeria in the emperors absence and one ruling the largest province in the empire, the kingdom of Ederus.

Emperor Vazimir died one year ago. Now his son Emperor Thovex rules supreme, assisted by King Razzen and King SittingBull.

Why join us?

We offer you the opportunity to fight with us for entertainment, having an organized clan to help you reach that goal for a laugh and kills, we're going to be participating in Strategus so you can take your cup of tea and enjoy some fresh strategus wars, big ones.

As the Risen we have our selected tournament team to fight competitions which we won 3 out of 5 cRPG-clan tournaments, we do clan wars against a couple of clans and we have do some training 2 times a week, that or we call each other over in our own server to group up and make ready for some intensive battling on public servers with banner-balance so we can dominate it for a while, servers like these'd be: EU1, 2 or 4 mostly, we stick together as an entire team and slaughter.

We recently opened NA-Recruitment for American buddies to join our faction.

Joining is no longer possible on the cRPG forums, only possible on our official site which is here.

To join us the requirements are as following:

You must 15 or older.
You must be able to speak, read and write English decently.
You must be able to use TeamSpeak 3.
You must be on TeamSpeak 3 in one of our channels no matter what if you are online. - You can mute sound or sit in the AFK channel.
You must be sensible, mature and able to follow orders from officers.
You must be able to work as a team.
You must be able to visit our forums a few times for news and information.
You must be partipicating with us in strategus.
You must wear our clan tag and banner.

Other further good ways of joining are:

The use of Steam friends.
Having decent fighting skills.
Being recommended by an existing Risen member.
Attending on trainings.
Having Risen-themed armor.

Too avoid asking which banner we use you should get the cRPG clan bannerpack.

The Process goes as following:

You make an account on our official forums.
You write an application on the Application section in the format we stated to.
We discuss your application as clan together.
You wait till you see if your accepted or declined.

Since I don't like the idea of restricting everything but I still want to keep everything a bit similar so we can recognize each other we use the Nordic, Eastern Russian Viking themed armor selection, there are NO weapon restrictions and will NEVER happen.

Since in the Risen we do not follow ranks. - We follow equality, everyone that starts as a recruit must be on teamspeak and visiting our forums, if you think you don't have enough skill to join? Nah, everyone has the skill to join us, atleast as a recruit.

A recruit can ask a Soldier or Council-Member to train him and after a while he shall be tested, this will be based on his average skill which has to be higher than normal, if you're cavalry or archer the same thing counts we're testing you and your teamwork ability, everyone must be able to block once they are a soldier.
