Well I wasn't so bad at it either.. It starts to get easy around 8 athletics, but I had 10 at my 40smth char.. I even wrote a long post on science of dodging arrows!
These days it doesn't work so well.. Perhaps archers have gotten better, or I simply started to suck dunno.. It's still satisfying to backstab you cowardly cunts though!

I dont play that much but my main was samurai and would seek new masters, so count me as an applicant.
remove all the allowed/disallowed business. let people have freedom, otherwise they get bored of the same playstyle. sure keep and recommended/suggestions list and optional hoods/challenges.
the only real rules should be stick with the theme, nothing too strict or precise. obviously using shields/plate armour is not part of the theme, but asian theme encompasses alot of playstyles ha, cav, xbow, infantry etc. just not tincans or turtles.
Smart decision. I saw where this was going since the leader of Shogunate was using GS instead of nodachi for some time, and the only weaboo peace of equipment on him was his helmet.
I don't know the causes for this decision, but I agree that we should have at least one real weaboo clan, and wish you ninjas many new members.

With all these different video settings and mods you can't count on being camouflaged. You can only be invisible behind objects. Steppe armor painted black makes an awesome ninja armor. A lot off ninjas have the black version that Khorin created implemented. It looks awesome and thats why we want it implemented server side.
I thought ninja want to be effective killer, but not effective suicider:)
And with this armor you'll have all your running speed and wpf, even if you'll equip 2 pack of throwing.

I converted my roman legionnaire alt into a Samurai and had alot of fun. The warclub is pretty damn good weapon for the price, I'm really surprised its not used more.
The goedendag is more useful (same speed but longer, balanced and has better stab) for the same price. The studded war club is only preferable if you want to use only oriental equipment.

Well, we did get a +1 speed at once point after the -2 speed nerf, but then they nerfed it again back to 101. And well... we did get a new animation. But yeah. I'm happy :)

Yeah, it actually seems to be fairly balanced. You sacrifice 5 pierce, 6 length, secondary mode and 0.5 weight for the 3 speed and 2 cut if you pick a katana over a bastard.

I hope you don't mind me asking but what is the difference between a ninja and a samurai.. are samurais not as stealthy or do they use other weapons?Basically samurais are in Japanese Feudalism what Knights were in European Feudalism, the important warrior class. Ninjas were stealthy warrios that would do sabotage operations, espionage and assassinations.

From what I know, we're actually the oldest clan with active members in cRPG. The only older clan I know of is Order of Staffmen, and they don't really have any members except Weren(who is totally badass).
This info is based on the old cRPG forum's "Clan Overview" thread. Which listed all the clans. That existed back in July last year.

We will also act as a small, affordable mercenary company when there is no trading to be done.
The way I see the guild working is as a reliable place for lower level characters (or characters without a clan to back them up) to find employment, so they can make some money and gain some levels. Then once they are stronger, they can choose to join a faction who will take them, or a more elite mercenary company, or they can stay on with the dedicated caravan guards like me :D

Well I personally left because of 2 main problems:
1) My laptop started working worse and worse, making my ninja gameplay less enjoyable
2) I realized that I don't like playing with katana and 2h in general, which means I could be either 1h or polearm instead. But in first case I'd be extremely weak and in second I'd be too slow, feeling just like a regular fighter but without a helmet.
I still have my ninja alt though, in hope to play it when I get a better PC :rolleyes:

no, thats the definition of a skilled player for me, someone who does good with all classes, means he spend time improving his skill, and not just abusing something broken.
Thats why you see me bashing 2handers so often, most of them are shit players, who just abuse the most broken class of the mod/game in general, I`ve seen 2handers playing as polearmers, and they were at least mediocre.
