Wonder if anyone made the effort to make those exact same pics about Android, iTunes and basically any other more complex piece of electronics
That crap is everywhere by now...

When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.

Changed my mind about Edge and going back to Chrome for now. It works great for a certain period but sometimes buttons on webpages stop working or it spazzes out when you watch videos. It's a bit too buggy to use as a main browser.

This exactly. Plus I would never jump on it before all of its shenanigans are discovered and laid bare before my eyes. Also, call me a conspiracy theoretician but it really sounds so damn fishy that Microsoft ends up handing out its shit for free.

Because it is newer, faster, has DX12, sleeker design, etc etc etc.

If I'm not mistaken, upgrading also nets you a legit Windows 10 license, regardless of whether or not you upgrade from legit or pirated.

Also, Mahjong + Solitaire collection, fuck.

Why free? As i see it, MS wants as many people as possible to switch to 10, to become users of Microsoft Store, buying apps from that. That thing never really took off with Win8, after all, yet is still a mostly untapped and possibly highly lucrative business opportunity.

sleeker design

I find the design of 8 and 10 horrible, it just screams mobile.

Also if the majority of people switch it gives them a good reason to stop supporting older OS's, like they did with XP, which will save them money in the long run. Seeing as this is meant to be an OS that will carry on far into the future encouraging people to switch for free so they can focus on this instead makes sense.

No doubt they will release some better shinier Windows devices in the future as well to encourage people to utilise full integration of devices, similar to how Apple work. I imagine they are gunning for the if someone has an iphone they will want all Apple products style line. Once people figure out the Windows features more it may actually work.

I find the design of 8 and 10 horrible, it just screams mobile.

I like it. More modern.

8 and 8.1 definitely screamed mobile but 10? I'd say that's the right course. It's clearly going to be compatible with all the win10 variants even down to the tiling system on xbone.

Yes, when you upgrade they add your PC to a whitelist on their servers (hardware based, I guess) and activate a generic license. When you do a clean install you just skip entering the key, and it will automatically activate when you go online.
Motherboard based.

Naw. It has modes for mobile use, i guess, but the desktop mode is... well, it's a desktop mode, none of that awful full-screen app nonsense, that W8 had.

Am i the only one disappointed in the command prompt? I thought it was supposed to have proper copy-paste and other features. All i could see was that you can now resize the window, it has word wrap and you can paste with ctrl+v...

Can change the size of them so they're little. Or huge.

Motherboard based.
Probably MAC address?

If so does that mean I'll need a new key if I get a new motherboard... That'll be a pain in a few years.
