Make speed bonus negate str/PS dmg bonus

Just came an idea to my mind, seems to fix many problems right now: High str cav builds doing too much damage, high two stat builds (24 24, 18 30 etc.) that have the most damage because of PS/speedbonus duo etc. Consequently you can increase the speed bonus again to buff archers a tad bit in both melee and ranged and fix lower overall dmg output.

Do it like all the curves in cRPG, wpf curve and alike. The more speed bonus, the higher percent of PS bonus is negated. Some won't be affected - like couch cav for example, and that is good.

Another note: positive speed bonus decreases PS bonus, negative should increase it.

Probably won't be implemented, but at least an idea worth sharing.

This sounds pretty complicated. Speed bonus for ranged is based primarily on the movement of the target unless you're a thrower, where you can increase your final damage by 20-30% when running as you throw.

1 neat trick I would like is to have for future games is adding bonus multipliers instead of having them stack multiplicatively. Damage * 150% * 150% = 225% damage vs Damage * (100% + 50% + 50%) = 200% damage, a difference of 25%.

That doesnt sound like a bad feature, cav can still deal huge amount of damage

Prepatch, I had a 9-36/12-33 cav build, but the damage was pretty bad and ended up being more of an anti-cav specialization. You still need good PS along with the speed bonus.

Tell that to panther who rolls around with a 9-44 build on an arabian warhorse with a jousting lance one-hitting everyone after going from 0-full speed in just one second. I haven't seen you in game at all recently, but if you were then you would see that half the server at all times is lance cav, then the rest is split between half ranged and half infantry. If high level builds are actually here to stay, then having higher riding should have a far smaller affect on the maneuverability/acceleration/speed of a horse. Horses themselves may be relatively weak as of now, but they are still more OP than when the era of the strength crutch cav existed.
