Does anyone read physical manga books here? When i was younger and had no clue i could read on the internet i used to buy the one piece pockets etc, and now (because im hardcore berserk fanboi) im considering working on a complete collection of all the berserk volumes. Pretty expensive, but sheesh it kinda feels bad having really never supported any manga/anime that i truly enjoy, and unless they are massively popular, they struggle with making money on their stuff..

Hm, I don't think I could find a physical manga in my country (as a younger lad, had no credit card to buy over the internet of course)

I used to, but One Piece is one damn long manga and they already got more than enough money from me :I also, there are always newer (and translated) chapters online, so if you stick to physical mangas, you´ll always be way behind.

But yeh, support mangas/animes you love

One Piece manga requires a whole library in your house dedicated just to it

Only publisher I know that is selling manga overseas is Dark Horse. Considering how I understand no more than ten japanese words (konichiwa, kawai, toza, hai and that's about it), not sure how I'll read manga that comes straight from Japan. Most scanlated manga is done by fans. There isn't that many manga officially translated in English language.

Shiki is a cool vampire story filled with interesting characters but goddamn is it intellectually insulting at times... haven't finished yet but moments when important characters completely ignore their previous discoveries and course of action which puts them in bad position can be infuriating. There must be a good reason for this at the end, otherwise is just dumb.

Also music and audio tracks are nice but tend to get repetitive fast.

New berserk chapter boys, and this guy is growing on me. Loving these chapters as they are featuring what is becoming my favourite characters. Well i always liked the kushan dudes, but the assassin is pretty great.

Nothing but sadness today

Knights of the Zodiac manga were all over the place both in France and Brazil when I was younger, along with Dragonball Z stuff. Those were probably the most popular, but I'm sure other obscure stuff were also around. Especially in France the whole "comics" thing was always taken slightly more seriously than in say, USA, a lot more similar to Japan. The graphic novel was always a much more respected medium in the artistic sense, not perceived as only for children.

tentacles, of course

Shiki is interesting. Just the right amount of weird and I love general theme. You guys watching dubbed anime or with original Japanese audio? I prefer original voices.

I think Shiki is fucking dope. One of my very favorite chinese cartoons. Damn shame Higurashi was so poorly animated at times. Never tried a real VN, no interest to, but the anime was noice.

The Manga is amazing. I'd suggest getting into it, its not nearly as boring as you think such a one sided strong super hero story would be. It has an interesting enough story at times and is funny throughout.
