Medieval II patch?

Steam is trying to download a 10.2 GB patch for this game right now, and I'm really not sure why.  Anybody else seeing this?

The base game is only like 5 GB, what the hell?

This is because kingdoms was transformed into medieval II DLC. You can now also play multiplayer again.
