Those days were funnier but thats because we were nubs Crushthrough morningstar, barmace and long iron mace, archers pulling out flamberges and pocket pikes etc everything was crazy and op but with the current community people would QQ even more

i am around for quiet some time but still i am relatively newmy old friend , i have heard only stories about all these weapons such as looney toone axe and boulder on a stick or players like phyrex and finn. Would be nice for new players to have opportunity to see all old items and game mechanics . Sadly it porbably wont ever happen

It was a golden age because it was about having fun, there was very little nerdy rages and people getting uber serious about a fucking game. Seeing videos like Cooties posted really sums up how far we have come, and I'm not happy with it on reflection, nostalgia is a bitch haha.

It was native on acid. lvl 42 characters with crazy hybrid builds (native singleplayer kinda stats)


Shields were strength based. Athletics was for my old friends and wpf could easily exceed 180 with almost any build. Scimitar had 105 reach or something and there was no upkeep. Im in tears.

The mechanics are overall better now I guess...but old CRPG was way, way, WAY more fun.

Being a peasant back then was actually tense and interesting instead of a 2 hour inconvenience.

You had heroes who could take down half a team by themselves.

You had xp barns and bridges.

You had archers with flamberges in their back pockets.

And best of all...LADDERPAULTING!!!

Sure it was unbalanced as fuck, but my God it was fun.
