Chelsea's new stadium will be the same "souless" type, that's the way new stadiums are.
Interesting about that video is that creator is member of M&B2 dev team.
Not really, not all new stadiums have that emptyness. Can't really describe it but felt really empty. The venue is great don't get me wrong, from the seats that were top notch to the surounding area, stadium is world class, just doesn't have the feel.
The architect for the stadium was the same company that made new Wembley (joint project), Da Luz and handled City of Manchester expansion and basically I feel the same about all of those stadiums (even if I heaven't been there) my friends went to the new Wembley and share the same experience, everything you need is there and more and looks good, but it lacks character. Wembley is huge though so it's more impressive ofc.
Great example of a modern ground with great feel for me is Dragao, nor much more one can ask from a football ground.
Oh and I hope Chelseas field won't be same generic bullcrap, heaven't seen the plans... I just love the feel of an English neighborhood ground with all the stands different, like Upton Park etc.
