One of the guys we play with only plays TA. It took us the better part of a year to get him to start trying others. He's now expanded to Viper, Lina and Necro.

Cancer is still one of my favorite heroes. I was able to defend against 3 lanes of mega creeps with no towers. Nothing can stop our march.

Wow no Blink on TA in that many games? Did he not read a guide?

Ooooo trust me we have spent many hours trying to persuade him of the virtues of a blink TA. He won't go for it though. He prefers building damage items and I must admit, when TA gets the items she can be quite terrifying. We've had many games where he's carried them and absolutely raped with that build.

I usually go to the steam guide and look for ones near 88-90 rating with skill explanations for chars being a noob this does help. Also means you can look at the suggested items and tinker with them (but i play a lot of single draft games atm so its helpful, maybe not so much if you grab one char forever)

Actually the item builds that are shown ingame are for most heroes alright and after a time you get an idea what you personally need and like the most.

But Blink Dagger is part of TA's build as well as it is a part of Puck.

TA needs a BD way more than Puck does.

That's true Xant, so let's say "Blink Dagger is as much part of TA as a sheep's dick is part of Puck".

I can't say I agree with that, Puck with Blink is way more neccecary than TA with one.

But whatever you like, both are equally good.

Puck has 2.5 escapes and a way to get close and initiate even without Blink Dagger. A TA has no way to get close and deliver her damage, especially if you go treads instead of Phase, you're fucked against anyone competent.
