Although you want to stay out of the trading community in dota, it's full of my old friendgets who are like 1:3 rare item trades and such.

I only go to dota2lounge if I really want a specific item, really bad, otherwise pls no.

The worst people are the ones that add you if you specifically tell them to offer before add on your own trades.

Most of the time they will also offer something completely random and want completely different items than you offered.

First game i play today, 2 people wait untill creeps spawn before they pick heroes, so i pick a carry. When they do pick they also pick carries, gotta love a game of only carries, no wards etc. Next game im like, well dont want that to happen again now im definitely going support. I get matched up with 4 russians telling me they are playing together and i should mid. So i do, i get pooped on by pudge because pudge, and on top of that my team doesnt ward.. again..

That pudge game had a pretty hilarious start, for whatever reason he dropped his bottle on mid lane and stood next to it trying to look cool or something, so i send my sacred arrow on him, he doesnt have time to react get the 5 second stun and broke his bottle ^^ still lost the lane though, he was good with his hooks -_- First mid i lost to pudge D:

It's odd, this didn't happen at all for me when I first played Dota. But since I got back from India every other game where I don't have a full team of friends has idiots picking stupid heroes. Already have a mid? Someone else is going to pick one to and then waste the first few mins throwing a hissy fit about it. Already have 3 carries? You can bet at least 1 of the last picks will be another carry. Have 2 carries and 3 supports? No wards anywhere to be seen. Have a jungler already? Yup someone just picked another one.

I just don't understand people sometimes and what goes through their heads when picking.

Well first we need the teams

Edit: I suggest we do this;

Everyone who wants to participate give the enter fee. We could either do pre-made teams or just assign a random 5 man team using numbers so we get random players, but ofc. this will be before the actual competition so we get to practice using that team.

i thought it would be clan vs clan, i have no interest in throwing my hard earned crpg gold away to randomness
