Weapon mastery\speed of movement dependence

Imagine situation:
Two running warriors in same equip, with same Agi\Str stats, with same weapon in hands. But first have 50wpf in this weapon class, when second have 150 in this weapon class.

Question
Who will move faster?

I think that there must be slight difference. About 1-2,5% of movement speed for 100wpf in weapon class.
This must work only with weapon in hands obviously. Without weapon in hands movement speed must be same.

Not sure is it simple to implement, but at least I'm interested in discussion.

How would being a master with your weapon make you run faster?

I think what hes trying to get at is...WPF should reduce the run speed penalty due to weapon weight/length and also the 'in-combat' speed movement penalty.

If you have very high WPF, you should be able to move closer to your full top speed in combat and it should take less time to get 'out of combat' accelerating to your top speed.

Fair enough suggestion.

When I read his suggestion the first thing I thought of is the MMA fighters with strong focus in technique (ie..ones with boxing backgrounds). They use the most minimal movements to dodge attacks instead of moving too much and putting themselves in bad spots, over committing or wasting time.

Yes, I think as weapon expert you must know how to distribute your weight properly while moving, so your less skilled opponent must be exhausted first.  Therefore you must have LITTLE advantage in movement speed.

Actually i think its a good idea to do this.
It should be added for shield skill too. High shield skill = less weight penalty from shield for running.
