cRPG Technical problems / Re: My account got hacked

Everyone says that m0d is Dead. Its a fact, not even my opinion.

Why would you try and get your account back then? What's the use of an account for a dead mod?

Is it too hot in Belfast, like pretty much everywhere these days?

14-19C, as opposed to 34+ here. I'll take it.

Rahowa shouldn't have gotten the same sentence as Arni. The apparently well known piece of shit was banking on Rahowa not coming forward with the truth so he'd get away with with even more lies and shady bullshit. Selling crpg stuff for real money compounded by fucking blackmail and trying to lie to admins for his own benefit, vs buying crpg items for money.
Well, I can see that they both obviously deserve bans for breaking the rules, the transaction is enough reason on it's own, but one them is clearly more deserving of censure than the other. Frankly Arni you don't deserve the benefit of the doubt, it's ridiculous that you even think you do.

You make a very good point. Added 1 year to Arni's ban, for a total of 4 years.

I was skeptical because of Windows 8, but after trying it it seems a solid OS with a couple quirks. Definitely worth the upgrade.

Well, there's no equation between combat and competitive multiplayer. Mods, be it single or multiplayer, are so hugly popular because combat is so great in the first place, I think.

I think so too, mods wouldn't do anything if the base game wasn't good in the first place. However, even good games get old, and that's where mods come in and keep the game alive for a long time thanks to the added variety.

It's disappointing to see a developer ignoring the aspect and being so oblivious to it.

On the contrary, he's saying that the competitive multiplayer part is so good that it deserves a much larger community than the one it has now.

Modding and sandbox are cool, but combat is what makes Mount and blade unique.

I fully agree that combat makes it unique, but it's (singleplayer) mods that made it hugely popular. The top mod on moddb alone has more players than the multiplayer competitive scene will ever have.

The competitive multiplayer part of warband is what would make it big, not cRPG or any mods for that part.

I can't tell if you're trolling or what..

Which is what they're most likely aiming for since it's the only reason Warband is huge.

Without its moddability Warband (and Mount&Blade) would be nothing, so it's definitely not the only reason.

The point is, everyone is calling MS the devil and there's a shitstorm being raised by this scaremongering, whilst all that MS is doing is joining in on the whole personalized ads thing (and doing that mildly), that others have been doing for almost a decade now.

Google and others do it: no reaction
Microsoft does it: omg, evil, nazi, hitler, you can't do it just because others do it
Google and others do it even more: no reaction

Yep.

That was a bit odd. Not even one shot of the siege battle?

Witcher 3 really doesn't fail like that.

For me it failed exactly like that. Started very hard, then got progressively easier until there was no challenge whatsoever (on death march). I kind of expected it though, most games are like that nowadays.
