Trust me, the ban section is everything else but amusement for all the admins who still care to read it.
Most admins burn out on that after a while and others have gone inactive over it.
It's fine that you enjoy it and you still could but it won't be the amount and stupid requests as is right now.

Admins not losing all motivation over this is number one priority.

Besides the parts where I find horned helmets pretty hideous in general I don't see a problem with this at all, no worries.

More concerned about people who make all foliage invisible and stuff.

Well, first brainstorming with some admins/devs yesterday kinda came up with this:
Like with the admin abuse forum back in the days you have to wait 24h after the incident before you post a ban request.
When you post it you need to follow some basic format including time/date of the incident, server, offending player name and proof.

If you miss any of those or the 24h delay the thread just gets deleted.
This will remove a ton of rage ban requests and probably some of the "I don't like this guy so I will try to get him banned for every thing I can find that could somehow be punishable" requests as well.

For urgent matters the ban forum is not the right place anyway, lots of admins can be contacted via IRC and steam so people should make use of that if no admin is available in game.
Same goes for other stuff where people got proof and it's a valid ban reason, they can just go to irc and talk to an admin, present their proof and the admin can post a "Player X has been banned"
thread and put the proof and the reporting player in there.
That way you can circumvent the 24h delay but an admin gets the chance to judge if it is a valid request or not instead of having tons of random ban requests floating around where players just throw shit at each other because they are mad.

Needs some tweaking and especially the go from the overlords but I think this would improve the handling of bans overall and would make the ban section way less painful for all the admins.

You were banned on your fist cd key, then got unbanned on that and now got banned on your new steam key.
Both for autoblocking so yeah, obviously you WERE stupid enough to use it again...

I also rebanned your fist key now, just in case.

Just have to clear that up: No one is blaming you for anything on our end I just don't really handle bans and rather tell people to use mute to avoid trashtalk conflicts on the servers than making ban requests.
Obviously he crossed a line and got banned for it so justice was served.

So lately (and by that I mean forever) people are posting ban requests about all kinds of minor issues, mainly because they feel wounded in their pride or just bear a grudge against that person.

Please do everyone a favor and especially those admins who have to go through all those requests and make more use of the in game mute feature if people piss you off via chat.
Please think twice before you post a ban request while you are raging about something that just happened.

Military service taught me that sleeping a night over stuff before you are allowed to file a complaint really helps keeping the number of those down - so consider waiting a while.

Obviously this is not about serious stuff like griefing, intentional TAing/TKing and all other kinds of things people do to interfere with your gameplay, those are fine in here.

Furthermore I'd like to remind everyone that you are not allowed to post on this forum unless you make a ban request, are target of a ban request or witnessed the situation yourself on the server.
You will get warned and eventually muted if you do it anyway.

Feel free to post in this thread as long as you stay on topic.

So waiting for final implementation and item patch.

Also the date part was obviously about a time when that patch happens, no ETA yet though.

It also is a huge difference depending on how the textures are made and how much vram they need when loaded in game.

Having a random dress which is probably on one textures that hosts another 5 parts of armor is way different from having a 2048x2048 textures for a single armor and adding 6 of those...

I don't mind people asking questions, making drama threads about it and just assuming stuff you have no idea about will probably not help getting real answers in the future though.
