General Discussion / EU Server Rules

I) General rules
1) No abuse of in-game chat (racism, insulting, griefing...)
2) No random kick/ban polls. Always specify reason before starting the poll
 - OK: poll-kicking a leecher
 - OK: poll-kicking an intentional teamkiller
 - NOT OK: poll-kicking someone who involuntarily hurt you
 - NOT OK: poll-kicking someone because you don't like his playstyle

II) Battle mode and Strategus Battle mode specific rules
1) No intentional teamwounding/teamkilling
2) No drawing/delaying the round on purpose (i.e. running away or camping unreachable places as last man standing)
3) No leeching. If you're away, switch to spectator mode
4) Glitching is allowed, being an asshat isn't
 - OK: hiding (e.g. in the hay)
 - NOT OK: hiding when last man standing (to force a draw)
 - OK: using a ladder to reach a roof that can't be reached normally
 - OK: camping unreachable places in the middle of the round
 - NOT OK: camping unreachable places when last man standing (to force a draw)
 - NOT OK: exploiting invisible barriers
 - NOT OK: going out of map bounds (if you can see unfinished parts of the map, then you should not be there)
 - NOT OK: ladderpulting

III) Duel mode specific rules
1) All types of duels are allowed (ranged, mounted, shield, heavy armor...) if both duelists agree
2) No weapon changing after the duel has started, unless agreed by both duelists
 - NOT OK: Offering/accepting a duel with a sword, then switching to ranged weapon
 - NOT OK: Offering/accepting a duel with a shield on your back, then using it
 - NOT OK: Picking up weapons/shields mid-duel
3) No following or face-hugging the other duelist before the duel countdown has ran out - either hold your starting position or back-pedal if you want some distance between you and your opponent
4) No running away or going into unreachable places

IIII) Siege mode specific rules
1) No intentional teamwounding/teamkilling
2) No opening the gates as defender
3) No stopping on ladders and blocking your team-mates on purpose
4) Glitching is allowed, being an asshat isn't (see above for examples)

so i linked Blood Tweaks in this thread so you have blood while you play 
Use tweak 4. looks pretty nice. only install if you know what you're doing...
Also you will have to enable the particle system.

Random TAing at round start - sadly i cut the video when i died which is was stupid but i think it shows enough.
He died 5 seconds after the video ends and then instantly left the server.
Seams to be a trend lately 
Please don't ban that dude who TKed me cause that was an accident i think.

General Discussion / What's the reason there are no small balancing patches?

So i was wondering why there are no small balancing patches in between the big script patches?

Somehow it doesn't make sense to me to play week after week with the same balancing when there are clearly some things that are unbalanced which can be solved by changing data in a single file.

Like the whole polearm line where the hafted blade's outclasses the elegant poleaxe with half the str requirement and 1/5th the price.
Or the Horseback Barmace...

Or throwing and the 2h thrust (although those might need a script fix).

I mean sure there is alot of whining but i'd rather have a better balanced crpg before strategus goes live which most likely will require more than just one balancing patch.

So is there any reason for not releasing multiple small patches with less time in between?

General Discussion / So botting/semi-afk leeching is fine?

Earlier Merc Vicious was auto running into the enemy team without reacting so he basically just got killed.
I saw this on multiple maps and multiple rounds in a row so i assumed he was botting.
At that time at least two admins were on the server but did not react to this at all.
So i asked for a ban on him on irc which ended up in this:

So i have no idea who Mtemtko is but obviously he doesn't share the opinion that everything that is not actively playing for your team is leeching.

Now i would like to have this clarified: Can i just autorun into the enemy and die as long as i got gear without having to worrie about being banned?

Also is that Mtemtko guy an admin? cause it seams kinda crappy if that's his attitude even worse if he is right about it...

Suggestions Corner / Higher "tier" 2h Axe?

So i like axes.
Can't really stick with swords for too long and i dislike the thrust poleaxes get.
Now i was wondering if we could get at least one 2h axe that fits somewhere between the Sword of War and the Flamberge?

After some editing i came up with this:

When i joined the server [EU1] those two were random TAing at round start.
the round after that they TKed two people.
ptx was on the server at that time but obviously missed the TKs or something else made him ignore the people asking for a ban, he was on the other team tho.

made these two screens:

sadly i scrolled up in the second one as i was searching for the first one that happened when i joined.
There were overall 3 TKs and two rounds of round start TAing during the time i was there.
I see how the second screen looks like an in combat TK but there never was a sorry for any of the three TKs or any of the TAs also these two guys were working together.

Hey.
I would like to be unbanned or at least would like to see Merc_Pipi_Longstocking banned as well.

This happend on EU-2 about 2 hours ago.

I can live with constant harassing about me using the same banner and can easily ignore it, what i can't live with is being horse bumped in the middle of combat multiple times leading to my death and being TKed without a sorry from exactly that person.

I told him to keep his horse away from me after dying twice due to horse bumps in mid-combat which only hit me and not the opponent in between he got poll kicked once but came back.
On the next map it wasn't a bump but a TK without him even apologizing which lead to me wacking the horse the next time it was close the round after.

This ended in me being tked the next round so i wacked the horse again at the next best opportunity.

Now i see how this kind of revenge behavior is unwanted but at that time it seamed like the only choice to preserve some fun actually playing the game as i thought no admin was around to ban that dude.

After the second horse kill which was a follow up to the second TK i was banned by Merc_and_Bored (i think that's the name) which confused me a bit as he obviously didn't think it was necessary to ban his clan mate for being an asshole for two freaking maps...

So i'd either like to be unbanned or would like to see pipi banned as well.
