The thing that confused me the most when rumaging through the crpg folder was that I simply couldn't find the regular native(ish) animations.
I could find redundant animations from the CAE pack and some misc ones but that was about it.

I know I first saw it in the Kengeki Gaiden mod, might have some more luck checking there. I wouldn't recommend it though, it has very confusing animations and you can't make it only apply for your own character.
I'll see what I can dig up from that ancient thread, you better appreciate this.
It would seem to me that the easiest way to make this happen is to download kengeki(Link) and simply replace the animation brf files from crpg with the ones in kengeki, as well as making sure that the old files are no longer loaded and the new ones are in the module ini file.
The files you're supposed to take from the kengeki resource folder are these: Kegenkianin, w-y-ani1, y-ani1 and y-ani2
I'll be honest and say that I don't have a bloody clue what animations you're supposed to replace without cocking things up. Ask Tydeus or perhaps Battlepriest.
I'm not willing to subject myself to the trial and error involved here, so I'll leave that up to anyone interested. Remember to backup your resource folder by god.
