General Discussion / Re: Barabe vs Grey_Order duels
« on: August 24, 2013, 01:25:37 pm »
Huh, I sense a lot of cheating watching that video. Duelling on server when kill depends on scoring 1 lucky hit ain't too interesting.

Native duels works how they works. You don't have any in-game adventage but you can get out-game adventage having nothing to do with personal skills and reflex. In crpg it's totally diffrent (in-game adventage and lesser out-game things influence). I'd love to see a fair duel one day :) Be happy for now.

General Discussion / Re: Bring back the Melee server

Ahhh, I had a chance to play on melee-only server few times. With 20 people there it was quite interesting (this server somehow made people stick together :).

The no-multi-till-8 systems was made (I belive) to prevent abusing. I think I would stick with that. Lack of people on such servers is rather fault of the way  balance works. I was rarely able to see well balanced teams. Also, without banner balance you can be often thrown into opposite teams (some ppl like to play together). On melee server team fo crushing everything cans have huge adventage (while on eu_1 archers and horsemen can counter those armours). Much depends on maps too.

That may work only with a new gamemode (guess everyone loves when new gm comes out).

Actually, there are few shitty map on siege being quite unbalanced. I guess they were added to make us GTX, and reduce this 70-80% numbers.

Phi, terrain adventage is in thir war on apostates side, that's clear. Guess we haven't been expecting anything else than that, since defending something is way easier than attacking it. What the topic is about are castles which are unbalanced. The only way to change it is to rework all those maps (not only wooden castles).

In real life everyone besieging this castle would probably do it digging tunnels.

Also, there is need to separate normal damage from damage to constructions. I think splitting damage type into two is all about copying and changing some words.

General Discussion / society of cheaters

I guess it's still as I'm saying, that for the greatest "crybabies" you need to look amongst the biggest cheaters. Always crying because of impossibility for fair winning, being always unfunny and unintelligent at all.

Game Balance Discussion / Re: What would you nerf/buff in your class??
« on: February 02, 2013, 06:06:18 pm »
2h

Nerf: increase time needed to change attack direction, bounces for curved stabs

Buff: damage (less normal attack bounces, al least to deal more dmg than 1h)  and attacks animations (to make them less predictable)

Cheating is always a good reason for poll...

Ath works a lot better than carrying a shield. As it was mentioned many times before, ranged are supposed to do a lot. Stun after taking arrow could be a bit reduced, but not completly removed. Archers are also pissed off when guy in heavy armor can chase them and at the end jump and with 2h/some long spear or 1h's right attack hitthem right in the heead.

Oberyn, Torben and Hideyoshi. I had a very hard time encountering them as enemies on the beggining of rounds in crazy and funny horse fights.

Historical Discussion / Re: Has history ever happened?

Well, it may require some heavy thinking to understand some points about if past had plays or not, but it's nothing abstract. I know some people would have a problem with this, but there are also a lot of other things and facts you have to accept no matter what you think about it. But some lies repeated milions of times may look like truth, if everybody around accept it. It's called peer preasure.

What's the year you've been born (and are you pretty sure you've been born)? What's the first thing you remember?

Seriously? I asked a question about history, and I think it's quite important. Typical templar ignorrant.
