According to every youtube channel with a templar-inspired name such as 'uwotm888' or similar, it's the Knight.

Knights ofc. Well depends acutally on the situation:

A single battle with equal numbers? Knights win.

A war, nation vs. nation? Knights win.

Cuz meat beats rice every day, all day long.

You do know that a katana can cut though 8 FULL BOTTLES OF WATER right? if you think knights would win you are delusional

IMHO...

The results are based on these criteria:
-My in depth experience with simulated fictional battles between Bushido-styled cultures vs. Chivalry-styled cultures
-Average Samurai physique and equipment for 19th century, Guns excluded!
-Average European Knight physique and equipment from 11th-13th century(very limited access to plate armors or late melee weaponry and severely limited access to steel equipment in general)(Knight disadvantage)
-Both are dismounted(Could be construed as a disadvantage for Samurai)
-No ranged weaponry(Clear Samurai disadvantage)
-Similar experience(Could be construed as a disadvantage for Knight)
-Similar reach "Category" of weaponry(aka. Knights outreach Samurai's by roughly 10-15%, or 1 foot(30cm) at max polearm length: (9ft.)270cm Bill-hook vs. 240cm Naginata)
-"Basic" knowledge of the other person's(culture's) fighting style
-Scenario: Capture and Defend Circle 3m radius(WTF! unrealistically fair, teen e-peen contest scenario!
-Well mannered 5 minute breaks every 30 minutes, warfare is for gentlemen you know.Huh!? Not a real battle?

Categories used for "results"
Win: is statistically almost certain victory(90%+)
Favorable: 66-90% win chance
Equal:35-65% win chance

       Strength Knight vs. :

Agi Samurai: Favorable for Knight due to stamina/exertion not playing a huge role
Strength Samurai: Knight wins due to superior armor and weapon quality for brute force usage

       Agi Knight vs. :

Strength Samurai: Knight wins due to superior armor and weapon quality for brute force usage

Results:
Knight wins: 3
Knight favorable: 5
Equal: 1
Samurai favorable: 2
Samurai wins: 1

Knight wins clearly.
Summary:
Knights are superior because: Heavier armor, longer weapon reach, these are just a natural result of a larger physique and more widespread access to Iron.

You know that a warhorse can trample at least 9 FULL BOTTLES OF WATER before even noticing that it got samurai gore on its hooves right?

Knights better armor and weapons superior cavalry ranged and infantry
Samurais will die for seconds

Dat logic..

Have you ever heard of the battle of Legnica and Mohi ? Better armor, weapons, cav and inf got rekt. very. hard.

Well trained and disciplined troops with greater army tradition aka superior officers will win. and those are something EU didn't have till 1500s.

Bad commanding and confusion ( you know what I'm talking, you fought in early anti-UIF battles this strat :D ), that's why Legnica battle was lost.

Y, both of those reasons are related with poor army/staff tradition. EU is no match for the Mongol generals.

Jap's were always trained well and very disciplined but not that great when it comes to generals/army tradition and equipment. They were inexperienced in managing such a large force, side effect of being an island nation. Just clan wars between each other. Also the style of warfare that was customary within feudal Japan involved single combat, even on large battlefields. Plus, Jap's were poorly equipped since the Mongol invasion, which led to the invention of the Katana. Cuz their toy swords couldn't even cut the mongol leather.

Anyway, everything was changed after 14th century. Blacksmiths reevaluate their swords, Generals got experienced and learned their lessons from Mongols. Jap's also adapted the superior foreign weapons which the Mongols possessed(Chinese stuff n gunpowder).

I think we need to specify a time period for this comparison cuz even Krems can rekt Jap's in the 12th century.

Ninjas are superior to everything.

Not always, if they are not hidden they get rekt.
