u cant retire yet, just make a new char

You cannot reSPEC your char, if that is what you want. You can however, reset him (as in, set him to lvl1)

You cannot reset a.k.a "retire" him yet. Just keep playing the character for a bit and it'll be released soon.

How do you reset short of making a new character?

Delete the char, then make a new one with the same name  :lol:
However, it would be more useful to just wait for the retirement to be reenabled.
