About

We are a Guild Wars 2 guild based on pretty much entirely Warband players, where 95% is cRPGers, actives all together gonna slaughter lots of random mmorpg players who are hiding in their puny castles & settlements.

Recruitment

We are pretty much keeping it to cRPGers/Mount & Bladers and some friends recruitment, we don't want a guild filled with the worst kind of randomers, which are the mmorpg randomers who join your guild and ask for your shit, rob you and then leave and call you a dickhead. So this is why we're keeping recruitment to private recruitment, any guild member will be able to recruit people, make sure they fit in and know there's gonna be a bit of trolling, afterall we're with the cRPG community.

Thanks for the proposition though. You can count on me as a human Guardian when the game will be out. I've never been fed up of playing that sort of class, even in Lotro. :) (or a female Norn Ranger with feline pets, they do look great, but it's a bit cliché...)

It's extremely laggy at 10ish FPS at its most on both Lowest and Highest settings for me while a friend of me with a less-good PC has the game going at max graphics as smooth as possible, so they are working on it. :)

I play from a laptop (a decent one, but far away from the average stationary) and I had constant good FPS and no lags (apart from the server crashed xD)

Even when we did that underwater dungeon I didn't have any lags. Even when all I heard in TS was "OMG, this is unplayable! I got like 2-3 FPS!".

TL;DR: Seems like there's a lot of optimizing to be done, but that it SHOULD run on even low-end computers when it's fixed.

Last beta is was not very optimized and higher end PC's were having troubles running it. I'd recommend you wait until they fix that.

Didn't mean to sound harsh, but I just figured with a game that rely's heavily on movement and what not wouldn't the ping affect that?

Nope, Gw1 had absolutely no ping problems with a lot of EU clans playing in NA servers because EU servers were dead.

Neither does Gw2. :)

It's not that heavily reliant on movement, it's still a lock on hotbar MMORPG, you really don't need a great ping to play that.

Too be honest with you I have no idea, I heard about Beta and all that but other then that nothing but I have played the first guild wars for quite some time (not the expensions) and I would like to get in it again. :D I loved the game before and I might want to try it out again.

It is not out yet, you can pre-order it though and get to play in the BWE (Beta Weekend Events) where you get to play all weekend on certain weekends and try out the game.

PRE-PURCHASE, not pre-order...you cant cancel a pre-purchase like you can an order...they are very limited in ways you can ask for a refund. Its a good system for people that take the time to research the game and KNOW they will enjoy it. Almost similar in style to minecraft. Buy the game before its released so they have more money to fund game development.

Calm down there big boy. I went with pre-order because it's more accessible for the common person, not everyone can purchase online.

But digglez is right, research the game - GW2 is NOTHING like GW1. Don't go into GW2 expecting it to be GW1.

Servers in most MMOs are almost always stacked at one place, usually Germany.

I guess you can pre-purchase before it is released. But it doesn't really matter now, since there's no more beta weekends, you might as well wait for release.

Considering I'm playing on Desolation which is supposed to be the most populated server I can still play there at all times. Overflow server is another instance of the server you're on, while you wait for the queue to join the "real" server.

As explanation: I used to play Lineage 2 and there the fastest way to xp was as a party with a specific mixture of classes and skillsets. It doesn't sound like that is a part of GW2 really. Seems it's more about questing with randoms.
I guess pvp is different and demands probably different classes but before pvp there is always the grind, the pve, right? If the pve is just random quests with random people, that would be a huge turn-off for me.

You can basically drop a patch of ice somewhere and a ranger can shoot trough the patch of ice and he gets ice arrows to slow down opponents for example. But every class can do pretty good at close and far distance of fightin.

We're doing dungeons, WvW, PvE and arena PvP together, for PvE it depends on what level some people are, because I don't really play with someone in level 20 area when I'm nearly 60 for example, maybe when I'm max level.

Or roll a new char with a few guys together you usually end up at the same level and keep on playing.

So it really depends on the time, sometimes we're here and sometimes were spread thin all over the place. I think that that'll smallen when everyone is around 80 zone.

A few servers are full afaik, but home server migrations are free for now so you just need to wait a bit till more slots open up.

Briefly I was thinking about selling it for profit but it is just too nice to not keep it for myself... 8-)

Besides, I checked every race at the creation screen and tbh, Norn and Human are rather bland and boring looking, so 2 options were left: the Charr for their brute look or the Asura to make you smile now and then while watching your char. Started with Charr but they feel so slow cuz of their size. Asuras feel faster and more agile, prolly the movement is the same but they just feel quicker on their feet ^^

Dungeons are NOT FUN to do , unless there is a reward NO REASON to run them.
They are basically same , kite and spam ",1,2,3,4,5 then 6 when health drops %50 , 7,8,9,0 when off the cooldown , qq or ee when there is red circle below me or boss faces towards me for few minutes to kill any boss...

Stupid misinterpretation of the "no grind" thingie. You do not have to grind for power, aquiring 80 lvl exotics (best stats) requires barely any effort. Legendaries are just skins, nothing more.
On top of that I constantly see people running away from GW2 and crying "I've got everything, there is nothing left to do". Imagine how many would give up even earlier if there wasn't any grind to it. Grind is what makes most MMO players going. Big part of cRPG's success is the grind involved.

Yeah, legendaries are skins, nothing more. Once you're done getting lvl 80 gear and exploring there is much more to do for a PvE player that is not grind, like...

About the grind aspect - I guess it comes down to definition, aye? For me "grinding" stops after you reach the maximum level of "power" attainable, thus making you statistically "equal" to other players. Skins are optional and yes, of course you've got to grind like hell for them, but there is virtually no requirement to do so. I agree that PvE content ends really fast unless you want those skins, no idea how big of a flaw that is to be honest. I am not a fan of that aspect of MMO's, but they all share it - PvE content eventually has to end, and all thats left is grinding. We grinded in every MMO before, we grind in GW2 (optionally!), we're propably gonna keep doing it in future MMO's. Honestly I do not even know how could they extend PvE without that element.
Edit:
Its worth noting that there's still a huge selection of skins for all weapons and armour that you can obtain in easy, no-grind required ways. :rolleyes:

I don't get why so many people are obsessed with being equal in stats to others, or having everything at maximum.

I knew that their statement that the game would launch bug free was just a hype statement but the constant bugs on the higher levels is really disappointing :/

Not sure what to do now, not feeling the vibe to start a new alt.

Endgame zones Arah , straits of devastation etc are full of bugs.
I finished those maps by switching to different servers.
It was free and instant so whenever i encountered a bug on skill challenge or something i switched to some other server , sometimes the server i switched to had the same bug so i switched to another one etc...
That way you can finish those zones ;)
