Would it be possible to spread some points between polearms and one-handers without screwing your build over? You know, for that knight-esque appearance.

ofcourse, just type in google: crpg 1h/lancer or something and you will find some good suggestions

Yes Marco that's a good build if you will be riding armored horses or a destrier.  My build has always been 1h/shield/polearms and I've always liked to split my WPF right down the middle.  I suggest only going the minimum agility you need to ride your horse. 

21/15, 18/18 or 15/21 is the default attributes for someone who wants shield/1h and polearm.  If you just want polearm, then you are able to get 3 more strength for each build at level 30, and have a lot more WPF in polearms.  But the shield and 1h seem to be life savers when I get dismounted (or for blocking projectiles on horse), or for fighting in strategus sieges.

Hi, I would like to ask a question about 1h cav.

I tried playing heavy cavalry latest gen. With no loomed stuff. I was using a build of 15/21 (pole and 1 hand split wpf) and equipment of mamluk horse, great lance, arabian cav sword. I can say that, I very much enjoyed this setup except one part. When I got dismounted, my sword was bouncing off of heavy armored guys (probably loomed armor set). So I want to hit harder, while not sacrificing my manuever power.

Will this setup be good enough for me? (I will go beyond level 30 after this too, to 21/18 probably)

Riding: 5
Athletics: 5
Shield: 3
Pwr Strike: 7
Ironflesh: 5
Weapon Master: 4

One hand: 140

But notice that this time I can use mw mamluk horse, mw arabian cav, mw great lance (if matters), mw armor pieces.

What I'm asking is, how much difference there is between 7 riding with a regular mamluk horse and 5 riding with mw mamluk horse? Also I do want to hit hard enough both when dismounted and mounted.

Having 7 riding versus 5 on a mamluk would certainly be a noticeable difference, but as a dedicated lancer I don't think it's worth it.  I'd rather have 7 PS/5 riding/5athletics  than 7 riding/7 athletics/5 PS on a 5 riding requirement horse.

Also I'd suggest dropping 1 IF and putting your shield skill up to 4.  At 3 you can use the regular heater shield, but it's not very strong and isn't 100 speed.  At 4 shield you open up the best shields for a lancer (no particular order, compare stats vs cost and decide for yourself):

Knightly heater shield
Elite cavalry shield
Knightly kite shield
