what if nobody is a megafaction, and this is just the natural course of strategus turning into one coalition vs another because that's the only way it can actually be remotely even with the current playerbase?

I'll agree that history has shown this is indeed the natural progression of strategus, more or less, but I am curious to hear what your definition of 'remotely even' is.

Rosters were decent in the fight last night. Should get better as NA strat is getting more new players in. Full rosters and even some small roll calls will help even things out.

Well the main issue is the anti-anticarebear alliance would need at some 80+ applicants to properly weed out all the mercs that either don't show up in discord, don't follow commander chat-issued orders, don't fight as a team, or all of the above. Player skill isn't even half the problem at this point.
