I don't quite see the reasoning behind the Arabian Axe nerf. It looks really underpowered now, while just before this patch everything seemed fine.

Take a look at those stats:

I brought this up with Dupre already; the long bardiche will *hopefully* get reverted to its pre-patch state, since it has been in a good place balance-wise for a while. Meanwhile we all need to bug Matt about changing the GLB stab back to pierce, it would seem. Also the Arabian was definitely too strong when it was first introduced, not sure if it should be tweaked any more or not. IMO the GLA was also undeserving of a damage nerf, but what can yah do... We're back to the age of 2h masterrace it would seem.

Macropus originally suggested changing it to cut quite a while ago, but he also suggested increasing the damage +10, making it do similar damage, but not rear cav.
I voted Gurnisson cause of his fucking bendy pike, I swear noone can roflcopter stab like he can.

I understand everything. I support the things you do and appreciate it. But why on earth would you re-implement native stab? :( It looks ridiculous first of all, and is op as shit , with the other stab , pikeman support roles actually did matter. This, imo , killed teamplay and made 2h masterrace once again. Now enjoy the mod getting crowded by oldmy old friend 2h scrubs.

I really hope so, because in the current state of the stats there is absolutely no reason not to use the long bardiche over the GLB

I actually hate the old stab. Always have and always will.

I was actually good with the new stab, and the old stab is still janky as fuck if you ask me.

Some people say its more realistic from certain guards but was the other one not also at least semi believable?

Good thing C-RPG 2 Electric Boogaloo will have both.

was rather too stronk for spam nubs who can't block 1 held attack lol, 52 cut and with lenght of 135 and unbalanced was pretty fair and sqr trade off, now Arabian Ax is just a shit version of Long Bardiche 140 lenght 49 cut 90 speed balanced  :twisted: but well with item buahahalancers like these lol

Well looking at it purely numerically, it was a longer version of the long morningstar that dealt more damage 90+% of the time. I'd take 52 cut and that extra 3 length over 40 pierce any day of the week. Not to mention it also gets +1 speed when loomed while the long morningstar doesn't.
