General Discussion / I am playing more CRPG.

Hi just wanted to let you all know I am playing this game more often than before.  I mean before I played it a lot.  But I am playing it more now.  So I guess I am doing the opposite of "retiring".  Although I just retired and heirloomed something.  I meant "retire" as in not playing this game and mod anymore.  Which I am in fact... NOT DOING.  Meaning I am still gonna be playing this game... and mod... using the CRPG launcher.

That being said..  I really enjoy this mod and strategus.

Now to the important part!

I am not giving away any of my heirlooms.

Since it will start snowing in Chicago soon I plan on greasing up my triple hogged master work huscarl and go sledding down some gnarly hills.

Sorry new players but please accept my excuse.  I will be keeping my looms for myself mostly because I am going to be playing this game more often.  But looms keep getting nerfed so it will be better for you guys anyways.

The mod has come a long way and it is at least 4.8 times better than this time last year.  So I am definitely going to keep playing this game.

What about you's guys?

Got tk'ed by him and called him out on it since he never apologized.  Instead he just acted like a prick. 

After I polled him about it he tk'ed more people.

Can you guys temp ban him please and show him that we do not allow stupid behavior like that?

This servers will specifically feature NO BANNER BALANCE.

It will focus more on an individual effort and will be more of a challenge to keep your multiplier.

What do you guys think?  I might have some money to throw around so I might fund it.

And since I do not have all the time in the world to admin it I would like to hand it over to the NA Strat admins as well.  Making it a community server.

Though I want to locate it in Chicago.

I will start off this post with a quote from chadz about the upkeep increase and why it is more expensive.

edit:Gold is one of many variables in items. Many items are better than what they cost, but the overall stats are weaker. Which is interesting.

So basically what he is saying is that it is cheaper and you get more for your money when you use the low to mid grade weapons.  Using the top of the line weapons will make you pay more to repair.  In a way he is forcing everyone to use less expensive armor and weapons so that skill shines a little bit more than some dude in triple heirloomed plate helicoptering all over the place.

I get what you are saying chadz and I agree with your move to make repairs more expensive on high end equipment.  It will make battles more skill based and not everyone will use the best of the best all the time.  Right?  No.... Wrong.  The exact opposite is happening.

The problem you didn't anticipate was that you have many players that have poopsocked so much in this game that they have almost a million or two saved up.  Does this effect them?  Not really.  Will it anytime soon?  Nope. 

Why?

Well because of the upkeep cost new players and players like myself who play casually(at the most 12 hours a week) have to play with these people that have never ending fortunes.  They never change their gear to something different and always wear the best of the best.  Therefore they will almost always get the 5x more often.  Hence making them more and more less likely to finally budget themselves accordingly like the rest of the player base and use different equipment from time to time.

So basically although I fully support what you are trying to do chadz with this upkeep increase.... it still makes new players to this game less likely to be able to compete with the players on a skillwise level since they will always wear the best of the best. 

What do you guys think?

Game Balance Discussion / Pretty much 80 percent of all battle players use Crossbows

Should I conform or not?

Why should a two hander/polearm in tin can armor be able to use a sniper gun that one hit kills you sometimes through your shield?

Is this balanced?

This crossbow hybrid shit is getting old fast.  Please do something about it.

Suggestions Corner / Please Buff Cavalry and make all Pikes 4 slots.

As a one hander I find it too easy to take out all this heavy cavalry.  Please buff bump damage 2x and make anti cav weapons take more slots.  Especially the Long Awlpike.

As a fellow admin I would like to let you know about a player that is constantly team damaging but however not totally killing teammates.

I have witnessed this several times with my own eyes.  As I am sure other players have seen it.  I have pointed it out in chat several times as well.

I can deal with it because I have a shield and I do not mind blocking my own teammates attacks.

Be nice if you can ban this person if not I will understand since I am not part of the Northern Alliance or ATS.
