Awake from one nightmare, and flung into another, the feverish Malaclypse (barely surviving her woodland encounter with Dach) has been brought to the siege camp of New Tilbaut Castle where she is tended to by the finest soothsayers and augers which could be found in the gutters of nearby Tadsamesh; the battle above now taking place in earnest, and from the sound of things... is not going well. For every soldier who approaches the front lines, ten more are sent back, their corpses riddled with arrows. Drawing her strength (and her quill), Malaclypse sends out an earnest plea by raven to the deadeyes of New Calradia: "Our enemy has some of the finest archers in all the land in their employ, from the Fallen Brigade itself, to a number of skilled shots from the ranks of the venerable Free Companies of Calradia; we desperately need a counter. Hark! Heed the call! Top shots across the land, take up our bows and put them to use!"

The Chosen Hands seek aid by way of mercenaries, in particular, those skilled in the projectile art of archery, in the second siege of New Tilbaut Castle. As a further incentive, I'll be providing various cRPG gold awards from my own personal stash to the best ranged performers.

Top-Draw Award (Best archer KDR): 40k gold (will not stack with below!)
Deadeye (Best archer kills): 40k gold (will not stack with above!)
Congeniality Awards (Next 5 top POSITIVE archer KDRS): 10k gold each.

We are mostly using Rus Bows, followed by Horn and Long. Please provide stats and indicate that you are an archer in your application. I'll be posting here after the battle with who should put up trades for the payment.

tl;dr we have bows, we need archers, top archers will be paid by me personally. Thanks!

I was there. Serr was the only one to show up on the enemy side. Dueled with some of the Nords and DRZ guys beforehand. Nobody has any kills or deaths on the website roster thing, when most of them should read 0:0 (one should be 1:0 and Serr should be 0:1). Lost my 10 reliability to this bug.

Strategus Issues / Issue Selling Goods

I've been having trouble every time I try to sell trade goods. It will say, "You have sold the goods" but they'll still be there. One time, they disappeared as though they had sold but I gained no gold; this is because I changed the sell-price from the default, and instead of giving me what I changed it to or the default, it gave me nothing. Only attempted to change it because of the issue selling in the first place. Anyone else experiencing similar issues with the selling of goods?

I'm aware that we can mute and unmute all with LCTRL+LSHIFT+M/U, but I was wondering, is there a way to turn off only all chat but keep team chat active? If one doesn't already exist I plan to add a suggestion in for this option.

Game Balance Discussion / Make Agility more relevant to gear use

Agility: Governs the use of shields via Shield, horses via Riding.

Strength: Governs the ability to use bows via Power Draw, throwing weapons via Power Throw; directly relates to the use of all melee weapons, crossbows, and armor based on actual value of Strength.

Make agility more relevant. My proposal towards this end is to make either armors or melee weapons require agility as part of a dual requirement intertwined with Strength (for example, the Nomad Robe which requires 7 Strength could also require 7 agility, or the agility requirement could be fractional of it's strength counterpart). I don't know how exactly to go about changing this, but feel that as it stands now, Strength holds too much of a monopoly in terms of the ability to use weapons and armor for no apparent reason in terms of game balance and only really holds water under some semblance of a "realism" argument (the physical stature required to actually hold up the armor or weapon in question).

I spawned with siege shields to see if we could put up a defensive perimeter around the virgin (nope, don't appear), these two guys teamkilled me for "killing the virgin". I was going to let it go as a misunderstanding, but they hit me the next round when I explained that siege shields don't do damage and that wasn't at all my intent anyway.

When I said that I was going to post a thread they told me to "shut up" and to "have fun with that". Would hope for a long ban since they obviously don't seem to care at all about the rules or the threat of punishment for breaking them.

I accidentally fired my crossbow in spawn after coming back from Alt+Tab and it hit Kaoklai. I apologized immediately, and he proceeded to teamwound me until such time as I died, after which time he reported me and I reported him. He didn't apologize for it and there's no indication that he had any remorse or otherwise cares that he intentionally broke the server rules. I don't see how this doesn't merit a short ban.

Suggestions Corner / Great Lance and Pike

Give Great Lance the ability to block and attack on foot, or remove those abilities from Pike. It's shorter and slower, and it can't even block, while the Pike can because... I'm not sure. I'm not strongly for either position, but would suggest one or the other is done.

on the website it shows this, which I believe is the old +2 for it pre-change:

Tempered Military Scythe

swing damage 40, cut
thrust damage 29, pierce


It won't show up in my in game unless I set it to default in my loadout, at which point it joins all the other polearms I have, and when it does it has the following description/stats:

Balanced Military Scythe

difficulty 13
spd rtng 90
weapon length 155
swing damage 33, cut
thrust damage 24, pierce
