Also, are there gonna be built in options for tournaments and themed battles?
We have a plan for a "Tavern" game mode where you can hang out to chat, trade and practice duels with some casual competitive stuff going on. Planned are ranked duels which are single-eliminiation style with 8 participants and optional signup fee/prize money. Also planned are tournaments which can be set up and customized by players to a certain degree (some options might be reserved for official events to make them more special).

I read haralds post, in which he mentioned that you will be able to customize your gear by spending loompoints (?) to improve certain things ( speed, damage, body protection etc etc) thus making every item you own unique. Will there be an option to recolour or add special accessories to your gear?
The idea is that the shop offers only a basic version of an item. So instead of having all color/heraldic/visor/etc. variations readily available for buying they can be unlocked by using loompoints.

Do you plan on treating clans in a similar manner as they are treated in crpg (i.e. balanced to the same team, custom banners, etc.)? Will they even exist? Will there be any changes to how clans are implemented?
They will be pretty much the same as in c-rpg.

So the whole leveling system is going to be like c-rpg with the exception of starting as a peasant?
You start with a fully fleshed out but very generic build. As you level up you can specialize it point by point (e.g., remove 1 strength and add 1 agility instead).

Can you retire?
Do you gain an XP(or other) bonus from retiring?
Yes, don't know about bonuses yet.

How customizable are the weapons from retireing? Is there a limit if any kind?
For specialization (stats) probably up to 3 times. For customization (visuals) it depends on the item, some might have more options than others.

Will there be something like looms(reward for playing) ?
We will have a similar system, but with more options. You can specialize and customize an item. Specialization allows you to improve an aspect of an item, but it will always come with a trade-off (e.g., increasing the armor will also increase the encumberance). Customization allows you to change the look of an item (e.g., making it heraldic).

Will M:BG have persistent characters that level up like crpg or will it have everyone on equal footing like Native Warband?
Yes, but like the items we plan to allow only specialization. Everyone starts from one of the basic builds and can then specialize as he progresses.

So harald, if i change my main to an alt i can respec weekly? I made a mistake On my main as well
You can switch your hero, then respec, then switch back. Takes 14 days total. Reason for this restriction on the hero is so people cannot optimize their builds without penalty for an upcoming battle.

Before you put too much thought into that: starter kit items were not meant to be exchanged and will be fixed soon. Any exchanged starter kit item is reverted.

You should find the heirloom exchange on the character you were most recently online when they were given out on patch day (Oct 19th).
