Not yet, sorry guys (but I do keep an eye on this thread!)

I recently discovered dwarf fortress and it has plagued my productivity.

But I promise I'll return to this soon. My goal is to have crossbows/bolts and hopefully more done by the end of this month (March) at the very least.

1. Heirloom Models by Final_Boss.rar contains unnecessary folder Mods. Only CRPGSubMods.rar file is required.

2. Final Boss, will your 1h and 2h models be included in regular cRPG update like bows and arrows pack did?

3. Final Boss, your sig link code in 1st post is wrong. I think this is the correct one:

Any models that you guys are not that happy with let me know and eventually I'll comb through this thread again and update accordingly.

Most of my time will be spent finishing this pack a)to make sure computers/warband code can handle all of it and b) Once it's all done, I'll have the time to go through everything and make adjustments more quickly :wink:

Warham, this is fantastic! Very easy to install and works incredibly well! Excellent job!

There a few one handed models that don't have scabbards in the original item_kinds but I have made scabbards for (grosse messer/langes messer and a few others), but it's really not that important. This script is just great.

I have updated the 1st page of the thread so everyone can enjoy this! Thanks again warham and I'll pm you once polearms are complete ;) I can update the xml file as well if you'd like?

You forgot to add some arrows as flying_missiles in the item_kind.txt.
There are no flying arrows when you use some quivers.
Please check this.

Hey Boss, can you put all the files into one big pack? Like 1h+2h+bows? or...

That's the plan... We need to make a script that automagically updates "item_kinds1.txt" every time it gets patched.

I worked about 10 hours this weekends and I did it! I made universal programme for install submods on crpg. There are 3 submods in the archieve: Heirloom Models and 2 my submods. For Heirloom Models i made xml file by myself. It's about 3 hours of boring copy paste work, and i really deserve  some vodka )

Please report me about bugs and mistakes in my lousy english )

Kafein and Warham have stepped in and created a script that updates item_kinds1.txt correctly! I'll post an updated version soon.

How to install
-STEP 1- put each file in the resource folder in your "modules/crpg/resource" folder
-STEP 2- put the textures in "crpg/textures"
-STEP 3- MAKE A BACKUP COPY of "crpg/item_kinds1.txt" and paste the new one from the .zip (in case something breaks)
-STEP 4- edit "crpg/module.ini" and add the follwing lines below the line "load_mod_resource = kazakh_armor"
"load_mod_resource = finalboss_bows"
"load_mod_resource = finalboss_arrows"

let me know the good and bad!

Hello!
I see you have problem with compatibility after crpg updates. And I see it's because  item_kinds1.txt changes after it. I made programm (on C#) for my crpg submod http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,23362.0.html which can parse item_kinds1.txt and replace items and models automatically. After every crpg update i just run it and my submod works again. I can make programm which will correctly install your mod. It will parse item_kinds1.txt, module.ini and copy resource and textures. It will have progress bar and screenshots. For update ....

Very cool Warham! would it be possible to re-assign scabbard models as well?

Kafein had come up with a similar script using Python but it doesn't include scabbard updates :(

Anyone else find that the masterwork nodachi looks like shit? The sheath looks smeary to me

[conspiracy] ninja stuff is getting removed and I was told to make shitty textures so people are relieved when they "disappear"... [/conspiracy]

Also, does anyone even play this mod anymore? Didn't half the player-base get banned for cheating or something?

I'd really love to see this implemented, it would add a whole new and refreshing dynamic to combat and it's something warband should have had hard coded.

I don't really buy the whole "skill stops spam" theory. Spam stops spam.

Long duels are between two players who can have the most spasms with the mouse and keyboard, not between two 'battle hardened' players.

With stamina, you'll still need "skill" to survive but you'll also have to watch your avatar's fatigue levels. It's kind of ridiculous watching two l33t generation 10000 players parry for 3 min, one wielding a stick.

I hope that all the Armors won't also get the 'lordly gold treatment' though, or everyone will end up running around as shiny knights no matter what armor.

Having used the 2h models for a little while now it can really feel off sometimes with all the shininess - if there's a great multitude of players with masterwork weapons.

I wouldn't worry about the gold treatment on armor. For body armor I'm thinking more along the lines of 'added' stuff like pouches/furs/necklace and more of a polish/engravings approach with plate.

I'm still not really sure about head armor though... Those will be tricky to heirloomize

Final boss is online, make those 1h work for this damn new version of Crpg naowwww! :P

The problem right now is that after every patch, item_kinds1.txt changes slightly and I have to go back in and manually change 650 item names for it all to work correctly again... I'd rather be spending that time modelling and texturing :)

I've asked chadz to make an additional script that includes both 1h and 2h heirloom models so we'll see if we can't figure out something soon!
