General Off Topic / Re: Warband Singeplayer as a merchant
« on: July 23, 2018, 07:56:28 pm »
Just keep your party size relatively small and mounted, stock up on 6 horses or so in your inventory, and trade like a mofo. Once your enterprises are up, you should stay in the black without having to trade at all which allows you to take more risks with your money and dump them into more trade goods and so on.

Merchant runs never were my thing but its the same idea as my basic startup in SP. Get some mercs or recruits but keep them mounted or get them mounted asap and keep the party small but powerful to be able to run and fight bandits. This also keeps your weekly costs low for food, wages and equipment which allows you to dump your money into enterprises and trading. I usually just went with enterprises or depending on the mod, rentals and other ways to make money.

Diplomacy / The State of Veluca
« on: July 19, 2018, 04:41:28 am »
Veluca has been sieged 5 times over. Its citizens have been burned, kidnapped and killed in its defense. The defenders are weary but steadfast in their duty to defend Veluca to their last. Their enemy was weary but also stubborn to take Veluca. Seeing the dead on both sides, leaders from both factions came to a secret meeting held in an area held sacred to Tasers, the site of what was once called Serindiar.

While both sides could not agree on much, Veluca was too strong a prize for both, a compromise was reached. Tasers would fight for their homeland and prized city with the agreement that upon their victory, the Kingdom of Acre would give up their claim for one month. However Tasa Clan would have to honor the same upon their loss and give up the city of Veluca to the Kingdom of Acre.

Neither side liked the compromise but both sides needed an end to the fighting. Losses were high with over 15,000 dead on both sides. Half a generation of Tasers had been either killed or knew tasers that had been killed in the sieges over Veluca. Acre's armies started to look younger than its first foray into Velucan territory.

Strategus General Discussion / The Defense of Veluca
« on: June 25, 2018, 07:51:58 pm »
I want to thank everyone that came to defend Veluca as well as those that signed for the heathens of Acre ;). It was a good siege with even rosters. Was fun even if I showed late D:. Acre went to good lengths to make this a good battle and even rosters. Special thanks to acre, James and Reinhardt. Here's to more sieges where we kill each other for fun.

I want to particularly thank top 5 defenders with a special bonus for Furry with an impressive K/D ratio.

iK_KbW_Morningstar_MB with an impressive 117 kills (I swear I thought you got more with a few tks in there) and 43 deaths.
Greytknight with 82 kills and 50 deaths. Also impressive.
HoC_Warlord_Rulka with 72 kills and 56 deaths. Very nice.
Blakcpanda with 71 kills and 41 deaths. Noice.
President_Trump with 55 kills and 41 deaths. Good kills. Also did well watching that left side of the inner keep to keep acre from trying to surprise us.

These 5 did very well with a combined 397 kills out of the 960 acres that died trying to assault Veluca. Thats fucking impressive imo.

I'll be paying 300k each along with a special bonus for going over 100 kills for morningstar. Good shit all.

I do want to thank Zeus for being commander in my absence as well as putting up some healing tents and boxes.

Overall the First Siege of Veluca in June was a great success. There will be more to follow with plenty of good gear for all to crush the remnants of acre trying to set their false claim on Veluca.

Tl;dr Defense was off the hook bb and acre got rekt and people getting paid. Aw yiss.

Idk... I was referring to Harmless_Peasant. Only ever heard rumors of their banning, not even sure if they were true or not. But they did disappear rather suddenly when they had previously been a siege regular.

Yeah same. Only rumors but they did disappear very quickly. Who knows.

Interesting... I wonder if that bug ever got patched. Anyways, I've definitely never encountered someone using this (or any similar) cheats in crpg as it'd be fairly obvious, tbh, and there's only ever been one instance where I'm convinced that someone was using macros. Back in the day I think there was someone that got banned for autoblocking, but even then in a heavily populated server it wasn't all that oppressive as they could still get ganked. For the most part, people complaining about hacks just need to git gud.

Crymoar?
