General Discussion / Re: Whats gonna happen with the turning speed?
« on: June 27, 2012, 05:35:16 am »
Yes I thought about that, but i actually cant imagine that I can adapt to to the changes. The changes have made the game more unbalanced and incredibly awkward to fight in melee. I see more spamming and lucky hits. Alot of missed strikes and teamhits.

But hey, ok,  lets give it some time then. But im afraid this is a really, really bad nerf...

And just wanna say, I love your attitude cmp, and the efforts you put in (exept this last one )

If they miss then that's surely not because they did everything right.

Unless you mean hits going right THROUGH people, in which case it has nothing to do with the turn-speed nerf.

They did everything right, but the game physics is not behaving as it should.

Before turn-speed-nerf, when you aimed at your target and followed the target while the strike was carried out, you would hit where you aimed when the strike connected. If you hit your target now, its more a matter of luck, range of weapon and footspeed than skill. You can easily move away from a strike now if you got the athletics.

This nerf affected short weapon weilders and strength builds the most i guess, because you cant step out of the hit radius as quick and outcircle the range of longer weps.

I think we will see alot of 2 handers and pole users with agi builds running around soon.

Ill counter that with archer or xbow... Is this what we want really? That archers, 2handers and cav-users will invade crpg even more?

I think it was quite equal for everyone until this nerf. Please just restore it.

What do you mean? Am i just whining? Is everything crap? I was not looking for random letters put together to a crap-troll-post. When you take time to write down a reply, why not just write something relevant. (I dont get your post, and I dont get why ppl troll at all...)

So, anyone got a serious answer to my question above?

General Discussion / Whats gonna happen with the turning speed?

Im really worried about this "turning speed nerf". Now its more a matter of luck if you hit your opponent. The hits doesnt land where you aim anymore. This makes me worried sick, because its not fun to play anymore.

Im a 1h+shield character now, with a heavy heater shield and warhammer. My build is like this:

Generation:11
Level:31

Strength:21
Agility:16
One Handed:147
Weapon Master:5
Athletics:5
Iron Flesh:7
Shield:5
Power Strike:7
Power Throw:1

I have played over 1500 hours of crpg and consider my skill to be between medium and best. Also my manual blocking is very good. (Just writing this so you understand what, and who i am.)

But Im having serious trouble hitting ppl with a short weapon like the warhammer now. This nerf made my skill decrease to between bad and medium. And honestly, something got so fucked up with this nerf, so I am considering rerolling to archer or even quitting, cuz who the f*** wanna be an archer/xbower? ( )

I cant stand the fighting as it is now, so Im wondering whats gonna happen with this turn speed ?

In my opinion you should restore it until you get a better working idea.

This turn-speed nerf feels just terrible. In my opinion it ruined the game. And its not just me crying. I see good players missing their hits for no reason. They do everything right, but the game physics is not. Something went really wrong with this nerf, something must be done! Im gonna play as ranged until its fixed..

Please fix it, I loved the game and mod, but now it sucks...

cRPG Technical problems / Re: Textures ingame get scrambled
« on: May 11, 2012, 12:44:06 pm »
Well the card works now, so im quite happy =) Im just waiting for the new nvidia cards to come out. I have my eyes set on a 660. So if i can prolong the life of this card until i get my hands on a new 660 ill be a happy bunny =)

I put new cooling-pads on it now and it runs a little smoother. Idle coretemp is ~70 degrees c and ingame its like 88-90 degrees c.  Ofcourse Im a little worried that this is too high, but i see other owners of this 8800gts have a high temp on their cards too.

I think i ordered wrong coolingpads though, I should have ordered 1 mm in thickness but i ordered some 1.5 mm pads instead. I had too put all the cooling paste from the tube on the gpu to get it connected with the cooler.... Perhaps not the best way to go... But it works. If i get any more problems ill try to get the 1 mm pads and new cooling paste, then i think it will be as good as it can be...

The method to bake the graphics card is tested by alot of ppl. You can try it on cards that get artifacts and when you have nothing to loose on trying this. A dead graphics card that shows artifacts and/or stripes on the screen, is perfect to try this on if you dont have any warranty on it. Im not doing much with a totally useless card, so therefore i tried this method and it worked =) And it has worked for a huge amount of people =) But my guess now is that my cooling pads on the card is in a bad condition, so im gonna try that to see if it helps to place new pads on it. The cooling paste is placed on the gpu and the pads on the memories to get connection with the cooler.

Im hoping that i dont need to bake it again, but ill do it if the pads wont get the temp and graphics to normal :P

There can be cracks in the metal connections (solder) on older cards that have this problem, and therefor the baking of the card will melt those cracks together again.

Hi , im getting this problem when i have played for a while, like 1.5-2 hours. The textures shift places, so i get like armor textures on the ground, houses and environment textures on armor and tag textures here and there, you get the picture? I had this before for a while, but after some months with this, the graphics card broke down and I got stripes and no picture at all, even when i was in windows desktop only.

Then i baked the graphics card in the oven, 200 degrees celsius for 9 minutes. And then it worked perfectly again. But the problem is back now, with textures on the wrong places. I think I have to remove the cooler again and put some better cooling pads and cooling paste because the pads were in bad shape. I have ordered some pads for this so will do that when i get them.

The temp on the graphics card is 65-66 degrees c when idle, and 88-89 when in the game, and that feels a little on the edge, dont it ?

The thing im mostly wondering about is, do you think i have to bake the card again, or maybe its enough to place the new cooling pads and paste?

The graphics card is a geforce 8800gts (512/340mb?)
Im gonna buy a new one soon, but im waiting for the geforce 660 =)

Many on this forum seem to be good at these kind of things so therefor i ask here =)

cRPG Technical problems / Trouble when viewing char page on iphone 4
« on: March 23, 2012, 01:03:37 pm »
When i try to view my char and equipment on my iphone 4 , I cant see much or do much. The space where my equipment should be is much too small. So i only see my helmet. And on that "equipment space" is the buttons: inventory, shop, marketplace, forum and more blocking so i cant scroll that space either.

Do you get what I mean?

Any tips?

Game Balance Discussion / Re: polestagger
« on: February 11, 2012, 12:09:27 am »
remove the stun, and make them more balanced... polestagger is the lamest thing i have experienced in crpg... can stun ppl for 4-5 times in a row... Theres nothing balanced about it so remove it next patch cuz this is making me loll, and that  not good ...

So, if you can't deal with something it is OP?

I will tell you exactly what is your problem: Lack of awareness.
Try looking around you once in a while and turn off any background music.

If you are not smart enough to understand why cavalry players top the scoreboards I will tell you why.
It's for the same reason as it has always been; unaware enemies with no skill whatsoever. Just like you guys who whine right now. You suck bigtime.

I've never had any problems with melee cavalry when I've played on the ground.
Instead it all other classes.

ps
No matter if you are the best duelist of crpg. You still suck if you can't deal with a single horsemen.

I totally agree with you riddaren..

And why many cav top scoreboards? One more thing is because we can cover alot of ground and look for those that are unaware. Every kill gets your team closer to a win and closer to that x5. I think everyone that gets a free kill-chance take it. Its just that with cav you get it more often.  And every time you are unaware in this game you will and should die. Get your awareness skill up and you will notice a big difference. And why not try to help your team by covering an archer or other infantry with a long pike? You will scare off most cav just by equipping a pike or spear. And STICK TOGETHER.

I dont think cav are one bit overpowered. When i meet good players or smart players (teamhelpers) as cav, i have to get all my senses together and try my hardest and use every trick in the book of cavalry to have a chance to take them down. But its quite easy to see if the enemy you are meeting know what to do or not. So those who suck at countering cav will die an embarassing death imho.

Dont come whining now about "when there are 5 cav you have no chance..." You shouldnt have a chance against a group of five cav/ranged/infantry if you have left your group or are playing it stupid. I have seen smart/good players holding off 4-5 cav and killing some of them and dehorsing some and maybe even surviving himself...

Cav are fine.

Edit: I have just retired, and im gonna make a 2 handed cav again i think, maybe a clean 2hander. If i go 2hcav its because i have a champion destrier and I think its very fun to be able to ride. But i wouldnt make a cav 2h without my champ destrier.

I have played through most classes now and i would not lie about my experiences. I have topped scoreboards with every class i have played. I have never chosen a class because its overpowered. I choose what i find fun, and I make them overpowered ;) I dont have much time to play anymore because i got a little kid irl, so i have no time to follow the trend of "overpowered classes" But when i play, i play the game serious, and im trying my very best to be good for my team and to beat others.

Ok. done.
