Hi, I have heard a rumor .. peoples want to nerf rocks ??? It's the worst weapon ever and this is really hard to play with this.
PLZ dont nerf rocks .. Throwing and fighting with rocks is very cool and entertaining !

All rocks are good for is killing light armoured people, or people that are almost dead. It takes 2-3 rock throws to even get 1 point against heavy armoured targets (unless you get a headshot then you get like 2 points). Why this is getting nerfed I have no idea.

Probably because with 67 body armor I still lose a solid bar of HP to one rock and you get like 90 billion rocks to toss at me

Rocks aren't even OP, it's just archers and people who can't find cover that get annoyed too easily by them.

If I had to guess a reason for them being nerfed it's probably due to the fact that you get a shit ton of rocks and are able to kite away with them while doing solid damage and accurately enough to be reliable.
Not to mention its the cheapest (price wise) weapon in the game.
- If I had to come up with a way to nerf them right now id just lower the ammo count or increase weight.

Yeah man, it's really hard to throw 1,000 rocks at some guy as you safely kite away from him, or knock out his horse at range with your limitless supply of magical stones.

They kite like beast and can hurt tin cans while having crazy amount of ammo and only costing what? 3 gold? Come on, this nerf been a long time coming. Not even xbows, throwers and archers can run away like Rock guys

yeah but you can get any item in the game in like 4 minutes of play time so why does that matter?

I have tried rock thrower, even though I have a pretty good thrower build.
It's hardy hard, nard. Don't nerf.

A real pure rock thrower have 47 rocks to throw and keep the last one to fight in melee :D
I dont seek any other weapons and I dont have 1000 rocks to throw ( except when I grab rocks from other rock thrower corpse !!)
But it's ok to nerf rocks , that will be a more better challenge :twisted:

just give them ridiculously much weight. Like, u carry almost 50 rocks with u and still ure faster than every medium armored player. Like.... wtf?
rocks got like the shape to fit perfeclty in ya hand. And u carry 12 of them per slot. And only have 1,5 weight? And then they are 0slot? I mean seriously, who in rl could carry 3 throwing lances and 24 rocks and like 5 javelins?

dang if only there was a better throwing weapon to bring with lances... maybe if we had some type of... throwing dagger??? maybe this item can be added soon, with higher dmg than rocks an 8 ammo each slot, that might one day over rule the fucking op rampage of rocks we have now

I think they should do something like a weapon rack for throwers only. Like, u got ya box, where u can take throwing shit from, but u cant throw shit when you're not there. Would fix the shoot and run bullshit and it would give throwers a bigger stack of throwing weapons.

Yep, there are some really shitty nerfs coming this patch. Not looking forward to it at all.

If they nerf archers Im outta here. Just found a class which is really fun to play and if they go the same way as horsearchers I will stop playing.

I really feel that most of the balance is done around someone's agenda but whatever.
However in time where I can use most expensive eq that I can get and still make lots of money I have to say that rocks are last thing that deserve nerf.
I feel like lances are to good in melee. that is like my one problem with throwing at all.

The reason, at least I believe, rocks are getting nerfed is while they are inefficient, weak, and almost useless, people are way more outspoken about them getting nerfed when they get killed by them just out of pure rage. Sure they are cheap, and can sometimes get kills, but come the fuck on. Rocks? Nerfed? Get your shit together guys.

They are! I did some talking to the guy in charge of balancing anf I hope I inspired some of this change but.
Rock damage will not be changed! The original plan was to nerf rock damage, but the new plan is to keeo rock damage the same but lower stack size to 10, which is a great change! We still do the same damage but just have a few less shots, and that is fine by me!!!

It's not been a topic in the unbalancing forum, and I personally don't feel stones are in need of a nerf. I guess someone has gotten a taste of power and is bypassing the unbalance team to make changes he likes himself

No one responds on the balance forums and if they do its a couple months later. I barely have time now and days so cutting down on bottlenecks as much as I can. Balancing is being done based off community posts/feedback(yes, I read them and test most). I also have a small active team that helps out with balancing. More balancers will be added for next patch.

Regardless of the above post, rocks throwing did need a nerf, so fuck it.
