I drink because I drink. I drink because I like to. I drink because I’m afraid. I drink because I’m genetically predisposed to. All my progenitors drank. My great-grandparents and grandparents drank, my father drank and my mother drank. I have no sisters or brothers, but I’m certain that if I did, all my sisters would drink and all my brothers would drink too. I drink because I have a weak character. I drink because there’s something wrong with my head. I drink because I’m too quiet and I’m trying to be more lively. I drink because I’m the nervous type and I’m trying to calm my nerves. I drink because I’m sad and I’m trying to raise my spirits. I drink when I’m happily in love. I drink because I’m searching for love in vain. I drink because I’m too normal and I need a little craziness. I drink when I’m in pain and I need to ease the pain. I drink out of longing for someone. I drink from an excess of fulfillment when I’m with someone. I drink when I listen to Mozart and when I read Leibnitz. I drink out of sensual pleasure and I drink out of sexual hunger. I drink when I finish my first glass and I drink when I finish my last glass; at such times I drink all the more, because I’ve never yet drunk my last glass.

I used to drink to lose shyness, and do drugs too, until I got a psychotic episode, was crazy for 3 weeks, then I luckily recovered, but now I can't even drink anymore. GG partying.

But yeah sometimes it's funny to realize the importance of alcool in our social life, I think 90% of the time I spend with friends involves alcool (I think they need it to be able to stand me :mrgreen: )

Only drink in company, never alone (that is for loosers imo). Never too much (takes large quantities of alcohol to make me completely drunk). Has positive effect on me.
But I know some people that become very dark while drunk, stopped handing around them after seen it with my eyes. Not that they were overly nice to begin with, but while drunk they were unbearable.
Are you miserable under influence or become joyful, chatty loving person like cool kids?
Some of my friends are also joyful under influence but for some reason they used to get wasted night after night, some of them ended up in hospital and now they shiver when someone mentions booze. Probably still drinking while alone, hiding from people. Very sad.

omg stop making it look bad. drinking is fucking great. People are getting intoxicated together since thousands of years, are having a great time and what not. Its just fucking great if you dont let it dictate your life, just like any other pleasurable thing (crpg! cough).
actually there are so many people in this community alone I have wet dreams of getting drunk with. good times, good times.

I do drugs, I drink, smoke weed every day. Alone or with strangers. Don't care about brain cells and all that stuff. Though I have pretty much perfect health, so there were no reasons to worry yet. I like anything that takes me away from "the real world". And since I took care of myself for the past 14 years, I feel no desire or need to justify anything to anyone. Only a little, just to have a conversation going :)
Do whatever you want to do, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. Sums it up for me.

Never drank, and not going to start. When I see these guys completely pissed on the street, I'm rather happy to know I'm sober. A lot of people consider drinking as a tradition, a part of culture, some studies even discovered advantages when it comes to creativity when consuming alcohol, but I really prefer keeping eyes on the reality, even if it's a harsh one. Fucking yourself up just makes it sadder, because you get back to the starting point, with even less money to spend.

I used to be drunk every day until I started getting health issues, and now I cant find anyone to buy me anyhting (thanks america). so now I try and avoid low quality shit and now Im trying to find something that isnt beer and tastes good. But I drink because i hate myself

According to the French legislation, you can indeed drink alcohol as a baby. A lot of children have tasted once alcohol at 10-12, but most of them taste it at 15, starting with beers with friends, and ending with vodka in parties when they get older, becoming occasional drinkers, or persons who drink a lot very fast rarely.

Well if it will make it easier for you I've never been wasted. Has something to amount of alcohol necessary to push me over the ledge, guess it is somewhere in poisoning category. Reason for that is simple, my ancestors have long history of alcohol abuse which luckily stopped with my father. And because of it I'm exceptionally resistant to alcohol but will never drink for the sake of getting wasted and doing that alone. Mainly because my grandpa and his father and his father and his father... were doing it and in the end their liver got messed up so they hit the bucket early.
Some may call me a pussy because of it, but I don't see the need to go into blank mode for few hours. Being "moderate" drinker is certainly better than being seasoned alcoholic who can't drink anymore because last time he barely made it alive. Unlike them I can drink alcohol whenever I want and in quantities that will have very negative effects on them :wink:

I've never had more than a couple sips of alcohol in my life, discovered early on by accident that I hate taste, that and the preference to be in complete control of myself has kept me away from alcohol and probably will for the foreseeable future.

3 options here:
This guy is an awkward teenager, who is not getting invited to the cool kids' parties. He took a sip out of an unfinished bottle, that his parents left when they had guests last Christmas.
Option two - he is one of them grown up basement dweller types. Only drinks cola and such, saving his brain cells and sperm quality for the bright never-to-come-future use.
Last option - a very focused, boring and dry guy. Has a plan for life. Clean home. Clean shave. Bank papers and bills are foldered and signed, etc.

I don't remember the brands, but I've sampled a certain type of beer and some kind of wine. Didn't like either. Neither I liked the taste of very much and don't plan on testing the variety. Now that I think about it flavor is a silly reason not to drink when there is probably plenty of different flavors. Either way I don't plan on drinking anything with alcohol in it anyway. I guess you could say the initiate dislike kept me away from it and I now plan to keep it that way, that is more of what I meant.

Alcohol itself has a very distinct taste that is clearly present in any drink of 5% or more, you get used to it. What he says makes sense for anyone that hasn't drank much alcohol.

Dont you reach your final height around 16-18? That's kinda the age you should start binge-drinking anyway so as long as you drink infrequently or sensible amounts until you're 16/18 you should already have reached your final height.

It's well known if you drink alcohol your body will not produce enough calcium as if it would normally, and that's just one of the things which will happen to your body if you drink alocohol, which is indeed concentrated poison for your body. Less calcium in your body means your bones are not going to grows as much and will not be as strong as normally, so there is your quick google answer.
Especially if you drink alcohol with the age of 13, which is quite common nowadays in germany.
