Title: Eye candy for cRPG character creation page (last update Mar 17th 2011)

This userscript restructures the cRPG character creation page and presents it in a user-friendlier way. If you find any problems please report them so i can look into it. Feature requests and ideas are welcome too.

IMPORTANT: the script modifies the html code of the crpg website, but should not cause any problems. But to be on the safe side you can disable the script when you do crucial changes on your high-level chars. For low-level chars i would appreciate it if you leave the script enabled and report any problems.

Latest update (Mar 17th, v7.6):
+ Fixed: crash caused by new credits link (by Chort).
+ Fixed: requirement filter ("hide items i can not use") working again (by Chort).
+ New: when buying, selling or repairing an item open the same page again (by Chort).

Would it be possible to add a battle timer on the left side?

Some kind of little menu for the battles you were hired with the usual link or just a countdown timer?

+ Removed WPF calculation for now since the formula changed.

Chrome is giving me a warning when using this extension, "unknown extension" etc that requires me to click to continue on each time. Any info on this?

Because of this:

It's most likely a temporary message so just turn off the extension for now if you wish.

Great work with quick fixes! Really don't want to use the orginal look after i have been using this so long and it works great.

You find this topic relatively easily with search words "eye candy", but it still should be sticky.

If i can make a suggestion - it would be awsome to see the total cost of equipment selected/saved. It would be absolutelly stunning if combined with upkeep costs...

Just some feedback:

If you could add a more detailed description of what "Retirement w/ Bonus" and "Retirement w/out Bonus" in the Retirement tab, it would be great. This would be great for newer players and especially since there's way too much blank space.  :lol:

Ex:

Retirement w/out Bonus

Your heir inherits all your possessions and starts over w/out an heirloomed item or xp boost.

At first I want to thank you for this great addon! It's awesome, many thanks!

And now the problem.
I retired one char after the patch (lvl 31 retirement). If I logon with the retired char I can select the other chars with the combox in the upper right corner.
If I logon with another char (not retired after patch) I can only select the non retired chars. The char who retired after patch is not available in the combobox.

I am using the latest addon.

Not very polite to thank you and then to tell you a problem... I should have said thank you earlier.

I'm taking the names from the name change combo box on the settings page. Do you have the same behavior there? Don't have a post-patch-retired char currently to test it myself.

New update Jan 15th, v7.5:

+ New: since the new crpg website will take some more time i updated this script to use Elio's upgraded images for inventory/shop items. The free webhost is a bit slow, so you might have to reload the page if not all images are loaded at first.
+ New: total cost displayed on inventory (by Chort). Because of rounded up sell prices the total cost can be a few gold more than it actually is.

It's true that longs weapons of inventory are not very visible, we should perhaps try the TheBoss's icons.

Incidentally, I always at my disposal all layers of size ~ 700 × 700 if needed... for Resizing, recomposing. 232 MB of files.. :)

We will await the first reactions for now...

I'm getting a unknow script error while using google chrome, newest version of both chrome eye candy. If i choose to dismiss it it showes the "real" character creation fitted onto the eye candy background.

Doesnt seem to work properly for me, Ive FF 3.6.13.  This is how my char page looks like, its nothing like on sceenshots:

There's still ads their just all out to the right top corner. And maybe just be shh about it and pretend it doesn't and he won't care. Instead of making a big thing of it  :wink:

that's not my point...
sure i like it, it looks awesome and makes the whole character and equipment management way better.
to be honest i don't know where i said that i don't like it...
and i sure wouldn't use it if i didn't like it...

my point was that there obviously is a bug that prevents the ad from showing under certain circumstances so take it like this:

Is this your first time using the eye candy?  As I recall (though I may be wrong) my alternates did not show in the list until I logged in as them at least once using the eye candy.  After I logged in once, I could log into any account and freely switch between them.

A suggestion: in the old thread in taleworlds forum someone said that if you've a lot of items it's too many items on one single page, it's a bit confusing, so it would be best if you could some kind of sort the items on your own, for example by drag and drop or some filters...

Seems like you get different ads than the others. Some of them insert/use additional html code and this triggers the script's safeguard. Quick fix: donate something to crpg to remove the ads. You could also try an adblocker, though i don't know if they remove the offending html code before the eyecandy script runs.

Thanks for trying to keep on solving problems on your page it's still better then the default crpg character page.

1 thing tough I know it's nothing special and not really much needed but when clicking on the equipment tab would it be possible have the default page showing my inventory?

Since i cannot reproduce these errors on my machine i've updated the script to include the html code which triggers the warning. Install the latest version and send me the code and i'll look into it.

I've a character that doesn't appear in my drop down list. if I log on as him manually he does, but as soon as I switch to another char in the list he disappears. Any suggestions?

Installing the script still works fine for me.

Small bug: For some reason, my main character vanishes from the pull down menu when i switch to an alt. If i logout and login with main char it still works though.

And Haraldrx, can you please add a conformation dialog when selling (heirloomed) items? Selling a three times heirloomed item because of a missclick isn't fun.  :cry:

Someone else had that too, problem was the addon "FastestFox". Since this is really simple to fix i decided to fix it. And this here

Okay, I know that this thing works fine ever since the patches, but I was wondering when the extra goodies were going to be added, if ever ('hide items I cannot use' , damage calculations, etc.)

Also, maybe items that cannot be used could have underlined red font where the requirement is and items that you can't afford could have something similar to where the price is.

My Long Espada Eslavona Sword disappeared from the inventory, I still had it in game and when the screen flashed I could see it needed repair on the original page - but it was not available with the new script page.  After disabling the script, repairing the sword and re-enabling it, it showed back up in need of complete repair - in game it showed fixed.

Reinstall, usually helps.

Also, I really often have crashes of Chrome when logging out of character with this plugin.

If I close Chrome and turn it on again and go to cRPG, it crashes over and over again, until i remove/turn off plugin, go to cRPG page, log out, type char name, password, turn plugin on and THEN click "login" button. Damn complicated, can you do something about those crashes?

+ Fixed: crash caused by new credits link (by Chort).
+ Fixed: requirement filter ("hide items i can not use") working again (by Chort).
+ New: when buying, selling or repairing an item open the same page again (by Chort).

Just reinstall script (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/86900) or see first post (http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,59.0.html) for install instructions.

I have both my characters appearing in the drop-down box but when I try to change the character nothing happens, I stay logged on as the same character.  Does anyone know how to get it working?  I'm using Chrome if that helps!

Since i retired, i have the same problem. The character switcher doesn't work anymore, i need to login and logout.

Also, i've noticed a few items missing. For example: the bar mace seems to be missing under 2h's. Anything i can try to fix it? Already removed cookies for c-rpg but doesn't seem to help. Using firefox.

This is wierd It gives me a huge script error in the back ground saying theres may be a new version in downloaded it 500000 times and still the same shit in the back ground it is annoying.

This is outdated and doesn't work any more. Besides, most (if not all) of the features have been added to the new website.
