General Discussion / Did any pop come back to NA servers?
« on: August 30, 2017, 11:53:22 pm »
I miss the glory days of C-RPG (ladders were deployable on siege servers, and NA seige was max pop daily.)
Even the days after the glory days with 60ish pop daily were great.
I never was good at this game, but it was still fun.

OKAM ruined everything, damn you chadz!

Is there any hope for CRPG?

Did OKAM get any better since launch?

Even Asheron's Call servers got taken down... Nostalgia is hard to find these days.

So I ask again, What numbers can I expect to find on NA servers during weekdays? Weekends?

Worth a pre-order? Or a wait-n-see approach because of how bad beyond earth was?

An assistant college professor was mauled by a bear while teaching a mountaineering course in the Alaska Panhandle Monday, a university spokeswoman said.

Forest Wagner, 35, of Fairbanks, was with a group of 12 University of Alaska Southeast students on Mount Emmerich near Haines when he was attacked. A student hiked down the mountain to get cell reception and call for help.

Wagner was in stable condition at an Anchorage hospital, according to a university statement sent to KTUU. None of the students were harmed.

According to a police report, Wagner was removed from the mountain via helicopter and put on another LifeMed helicopter before being taken him to the hospital.

According to Wagner's teaching schedule, he was part of a Mountaineering 101 class that was scheduled to come down off of the mountain by Tuesday. He has been coordinating and teaching in the outdoor studies program at the university since 2006, according to his biography. He teaches rock and ice climbing, backcountry navigation, glacier travel and mountaineering.
The bear was sighted again after the mauling and Bausler said the 12 students in the mountaineering class were taken down from the mountain and are spending the night in Haines with another professor. They are scheduled to take the ferry back to Juneau on Tuesday, she said.
It's the second mauling reported in Alaska within days.
A 77-year-old bear hunter is recovering from injuries suffered when he was mauled by a grizzly in interior Alaska.
Troopers on Monday said hunter Glenn Bohn of Wasilla was attacked by the bear near Mile 68 of the Denali Highway just after 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
The 135-mile road runs east to west and connects the Richardson and Parks highways east of Denali National Park.
Bohn's hunting partner killed the bear. Bohn was driven by snowmobile to the Denali Highway where a LifeMed Alaska helicopter flew him to an Anchorage hospital.
Wildlife troopers, employees of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and friends of Bohn removed the bear from the field Saturday.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

I guess that's why everyone in alaska brings a gun when they go out into the wilderness...

Seems like things have just gone downhill in the past few months. These boards don't lock me in like they used to... All these posts, while meaningless before, have somehow turned extra meaningless!

Maybe it's the lack of clockwork and others like him offending everyone and posting pictures of furry softcore... Or maybe it's the recent lack of muslim threads or the upcoming elections? Or everyone just picking on pepe...

I'm not too sure what it is, but something is different and I want it back to the way it used to be!

These forums need moar controversy, nerd bickering, and vulgar hate typed out into text.

PS: I'm voting for Trump because our political system is a joke and I just want to see the elitist corporate interests who control oil/major news medias lose their shit when one of their groomed public faces doesn't get elected into office. I doubt he could do as much dmg as bush or obama and God knows hilary would just be a complete disaster... Who knows, maybe trump will actually pull a miracle and balance the budget...? Nah.

General Off Topic / "You aint no muslim, bruv"
« on: December 07, 2015, 07:06:17 pm »

The proclamation has been widely praised as a succinct articulation of what has been repeated for years: jihadists don’t represent Islam. But observers say that the sentiment has never before been expressed in a manner at once so raw and so quintessentially British.

British Prime Minister David Cameron praised — and repeated — the remark Monday at a news conference.

“Let me also pay credit to the person – you can’t quite see who it is from that film – who made that brilliant statement about, er, ‘you ain’t no Muslim,'” Cameron said.

“Some of us have dedicated speeches and media appearances and soundbites and everything to this subject. But ‘you ain’t no Muslim bruv’ said it all much better than I ever could. Thank you because that will be applauded around the country.”

In the aftermath, #YouAintNoMuslimBruv began trending on social media, becoming a rallying cry against growing Islamophobia after the Islamic State’s recent attack on Paris and last week’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif.

The phrase also caused Londoners to swell with pride for their city — the same place where Islamist extremists detonated suicide bombs that killed 52 people in 2005. Those attacks, which were the deadliest terrorist incident the United Kingdom had seen in almost two decades, also occurred in London’s subway system, but few pointed out the parallel over the weekend.

Obviously islamic inspired terrorism has nothing to do with islam, That's impossible! Like everything in life, islam is either all good or all bad, life is so simple when everything is in black and white so lets just focus on peaceful muslims and ignore islamic terrorism as having something to do with islam.

Pepe would be proud.

PS: "Aint no" is a double negative... "Aint no muslim, bruv" is pretty much same thing as saying "You are not, not a muslim, bro.". Kind of shows the education level of these "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" hippies.

... As a practicing Scientologist if I was ever unfortunately in the same position as the brother here i'd feel ridiculous bringing the whole operating level 3 Thetan Sea Organization along for a press conference about a tragedy like this.
