Problem with gas giants, pressure is too damn high. Our equipment can't go very far.

Once you started rhapsodizing about how primitive and retarded our method of solar energy extraction is I figured we're talking sci-fi level technology anyways. We might manage to finally crack gravity someday, who knows. If we do fuel probably won't be a big worry as far as interplanetary travel is concerned, so granted may still be a dumb idea.

Well actually Leshma wasn't that far off with his statement, it's just that we're not connecting to the source, but more like replicating it. It's not quite there yet, but it's not sci-fi either.
