Looks like utter shit.

If I had any hopes of Ubisoft actually doing something decent and getting R6 back on track, this video shattered them.

Rainbow Six series consisted of glorious hardcore and nerdy PC games, the like of which has been dead since AAA game development figured out that more accessible games means more accessible wallets. It's all one bland mess now.

This whole game looks like it could be a BF mod someone made in thirty minutes.

Im pretty sure this sounded good on paper, but dunno, looks a little boring to me. Sure the first 10 matches or so are gonna be fun but is it really worth 60 bucks. Cause I can only see myself loving a few matches than after that it appears to wear off quite fast. Unless this game is gonna have a cool and not that complex map editor, kinda like FC2 had I doubt its gonna be enjoyable enough.

- Shitty destructive environment (creates randomness, isn't even done well here -- shoot twice into a barricaded window with MP5 to create a huge hole, or punch it once...)
- Guns obviously take no skill to shoot, making it a really bad shooter (who sees first wins), because of the two points below
- Map design clearly didn't have competitiveness (=fairness and "skill beats no skill") in mind
- Camper's heaven, highlighted by all the crappy clutter everywhere and enemies are hard to make out
- You can cycle between all of your teammates camera drones WHILE DEAD and give info
- You can use drones for all the info you want while alive....
- Gun sounds/general feel is SHIT
- Rappeling etc clearly just a gimmick
- Graphics are ten times worse than in the scripted presentation.

And so on. Just horrible. Bored just watching a minute of this. And this is what they abandoned Raven Shield for, sigh.

To me it's not a Rainbow Six. Rainbow Six involves tactical gameplay, working as a team, going out without any casualties.

This is Call of Duty: Siege.

Would definitely get it if they removed the timer and tweaked things like drones, ghosting, recoil... But like that, meh.
For all the non-believers, look no further than this thread for proof that while strat battles are won/lost in NA3/EU3, strat wars are won and lost on the forums.

Im quite sure you can tweak the timer to never expire in the game match options.

well the one I played was on a console years ago.

inevitable redundant comparison to call of duty.  :P

you give info to teammates when dead in competitive CS too, enemy can shoot drones - did so in video. theres really no other games with that level of destruction, so lol. seriously no legit criticisms just boils down to "I don't like it".

I feel like a fanboy now, but I do know I might hate the game too when I play it. especially longterm when gunplay is generic, but destructible maps in bc2 kept it fresh alot longer.

..... yes for 0.3 secs, you see one predictable direction, you don't have fucking drones to watch locations with when dead, what a broken comparison.

Might be no "legit criticisms" for you if you're bad at FPS games and like ones where the winner is determined by luck and camping.

It's going to suck. It's very obviously a simplified console FPS game with a ton of gimmicks and little actual skill or tactics involved. Fucking gaylords killed one of the best FPS series ever for this casual cookie cutter crap. Also, those Dan Bull raps are super cringe-worthy.
