The younger generation have been raised on violence, especially with the advance of the violent video games that are meant for adults only. yet more than often under eighteens use them. Their empathy must get knocked out, killing is the name of the game damaging younger minds. In these games the attitude towards females is quite vile as they are either helpless victims, disposable background objects. or sexual objects for the male fantasy. All unhealthy.

In this particular scenario, a knife was the best choice.
The guy knew the place, had the time to get in, stab everyone and leave, then turn himself him, lol.
Try to shoot 100 different people in a 5000m² complex without people noticing something is amiss.

There is always cases where a non-gun can kill a similar number of people or even more.

That idea of "videogames are causing violence" will eventually die out. Worry not. Because people who know that the relation between acts of violence and video games is minimal are more and more coming to power or have already grown to be old enough to vote. While the people who have never touched a video game in their life and wrongly believe that the relation is significant are quite simply dying of old age. Eventually the media can keep throwing oil into that tiny  fire, but at some point it wont grow anywhere, because it is a generation thing.

Yeah, because in Japan owning firearms is only for army dudes and certified hunters. Since hunting isn't the most popular thing in Nippon and army is kinda small (United States Army protects Japan) it is fair to say that very few civilians have access to guns in Japan. Yes it was. I especially like the part where he keeps saying those words and acting tough while his body language betrays him and show us how afraid he is in that moment and what a huge wuss he truly is. Bet he was raped million times so far in prison.

Sadly, in our prisons, these child rapists/killers and other human filth get special treatment to avoid conflict with other prisoners. Because if they were in the open, they wouldn't live more than few days and dying would be very unpleasant experience.
