Like Phew said footwork for a 2 hander is done to induce the other person to make a mistake. For a polearm guy its the same thing except mostly footwork for polearm is press s and swing.  Basically "footwork" for those 2 classes  means inducing the other player to make a mistake.  For 1 handers "footwork" means closing to combat range, inducing other player to make mistakes and then moving carfully so that their hits count.


Why should 1 handers be the only class that has to use footwork to not only induce mistakes in the opposition but also so that their hits count?

P.S

Like Froto said I have been around the block awhile, played every class possible for at least several gens.  And by far the most frustrating  melee class is 1 hand.  And if you really want to feel pain try 1 hand no shield.

1 Hand needs a fix, with  6ps a 32 cut weapon i bounced off naked flesh, the dude was wearing no armour and I bounced right off.  1 Hand suffers from some really stupid bounces, not to meantion its underpowred and armour seems to be getting heavier and heaviers. Can we at least fix the bounces.

Solved. 

Logged back into the website and clicked on the image button, it let me upload the banner.  Works fine.

Okay Solved.  Logged out of the website and then came back in.  Clicked the image field and let me upload the banner.  Looks good thanks guys for the help.

Hey guys

I just got the right to use a banner and I am listed as the leader of my clan.  I have a problem uploading my banner to the website.  This is what happens:


I go to the clan in the ladder tab.  Open the Banner tab.   

All I get is an empty fields that says:

Image:  --> Can't type anyting in this field
Color: --> lets me choose a color, no idea what this does.
and a field of Hexadeximals

I was expecting an upload button but I don't see one there. 

What do I do from here to upload my banner into the game?

The Banner is simple: 

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Done and Done.

Fortinbras --> Spend allot of time teaching me how to block when I was a newb in the duel server.  He was one of the best 1 hander blockers I ever saw.  Always wanted to thank him but he sort of disappeared.  Thanks Bro.

Papa Smurf -->  Showed me how to fight against more then 1 guy. 

Crymore -->  Showed me what a really skilled player could do, made me want to try harder.

Redsarrow -->  Really helped me hone in my blocking, one of the best duelers in this game.

SaulCanner -->  Got me to try 1 hander and no shield again, the hardest and funnest type of melee in my opinion.  Also showed me how good a person could be with chambering.

I don't know why leveling is in the game at all, I don't enjoy it and don't see the need for it.

Totally agree, I don't see a need for it either.

I noticed I tend to get shot at more wearing cloth armour or light armour.  Almost never get shot at wearing heavier armour.  I guess even archers want a good K:D.

Really good player.  Remember him especially for agility pumping running naked with a buckler.  Just plain wrong to do that well with such equipment.

Mauls -->  Really can't pick an easier weapon for siege.  If you don't get at least get 2 to 1 kd with one on siege you should delete this game.  What is the point of having a weapon that goes thru blocks in a game that demands so much skill from every other weapon. 

Glaive -> Seems faster then it actually is, all you have to do is swing and backpaddle and wear good armour 2 to 1 kd no prob.

Pikes ->  Should not be able to jump and spin with one, period. Hitting a guy standing right beside you with one of those is just wrong.  I know the patch was meant to fix this but it really did not.

P.S  Not a fan of the last patch.  Made overheads really really unreliable.
