I've never done re-enactment but this looks pretty fun. the big fights look more like wrestling in armour than fencing, but the 1v1 stuff looks much more serious, realistic and dangerous. I would rather have seen more fighting and less reality tv fluff, but i guess they were going for mass appeal.

Gotta admit this video was kind of amazing. They are photo realistic in game models made from body scans, they aren't animated but they are 3d models so could be. So are we going to see better graphics for less development? I fucking hope so.
I mean if we can get much better quality 3d models from scans, that means some guy doesn't have to spend HOURS manually modeling/texturing them. so way less development costs in theory.

General Off Topic / Good asian film recomendations

I've seen some really brilliant asian films recently, that made me want to find more. not anime and not necessarily Japanese/historicial, altho playing shogun 2 again did make me search out some of them.
So I want to recommend some and maybe have you recomend me some, because obviously there must be millions out there that don't see much western attention. tempted to describe them but I don't want to spoil anything.

The Raid: Redemption

version 1.0 is releasing on friday, ive been waiting a long time...
dunno how many of you have tried PR, but I've bumped into at least 1 crpg player over there.
I got into it after playing BF3 despite the massive gfx downgrade because the gameplay is simply insanely better. 1.0 is going to improve/change alot, the big things for me is new bullet deviation and 100 player servers.

General Discussion / Block macros

so recent try at crpg with controller got me thinking about macros with authotkey or whatever to have certain keys block directions.
often I find after playing other games I come back to crpg and even tho my mind is thinking block down, my hand apparently has different ideas and I misclick blocks.
so having say q button always block down for me would help immensely vs those polearm animation abusers, and also having a button to block right would mean I can fight 1handers better since moving mouse right to block means I turn and face slightly wrong way making me die.
has anyone played around with this before?
PS: this is a feature I asked for in warband beta, don't see why it would be against rules, Im sure a few people do this already.

I watched TB's wtf is scrolls and despite it not being my sort of game at all (never played any collectable card games) it looked kind of fun.
I watched a few more videos of him play and decided I would buy it. having fun so far mostly, can be fustrating at times.

that ryse looks so epic, gameplay looks completely shodddy QTEs. but its crytek so It will probably come to PC, might not be worth buying but I would like to play just because it looks so fucking pretty :>

Made a new char on hnh few days ago, fun/nostalgic relearning the game. coincidently world 7 just got announced! which will make it alot more fun and exciting as a new player since right now half the map is claimed.

Suggestions Corner / Full name change option even if it means losing 100% exp

its very lame that if I want to roleplay something new on my alt I have to grind to lvl 31 for full rename. I honestly would use an option that reset exp all the way to 0, as long as I get full rename and keep my generation bonus.
PS: alternatively how about full renames when respecing and losing 50% exp?

I wouldnt buy it for singleplayer but it does look good. i'm still expecting multi to be basically the same as bf3 but for next gen consoles, but we'll see.
