I start with a classic: Bullitt! Mustang vs Charger... there is no better car scene. A lot of good ones but... nothing tops Bullitt

And why is Bullitt better?
Simple: Awesome cars, no stupid music over the engine sounds, no sound editing done for tire squels and stuff and considering the awful ride qualities of those cars, the driver did a hell of a job... and Steve McQueen  8-)

Sooo... I just bought Sleeping Dog.

Read some reviews and mostly was postive and even titled a "GTA-killer". I know, not trustworthy but reviews said it's an action-packed, fun open-world-game. Bought at a key seller which made it rather cheap too.

Anyone else waiting for Friday and its release?

I think pretty much everybody knows this old game where you're flying this old spaceship through tunnels and canyons just by using thrust and rotation.

Somebody took that and made it in 3D! And it looks awesome. I stumbled over it by buying the Indie 2 pack at Steam. It's ridiculous how awesome that game is.

General Off Topic / Advertising a new series everybody should watch...

Normaly I wouldn't advertise something like this but after I had the chance to watch the very first episode I just have to.

Some may know the movie "Black Dynamite". The new series I am talking about is the animation cover of the movie.
Before you judge, here me out:

It's animated but sure as hell not for kids in any way. I am not going to spoil anything but the first episode involves Ninjas and Michael Jackson.

I can't press enough how awesome that stuff is and how much you're missing out on if you're not watching it!

Black Dynamite S01E01 is what you all should be looking for!

Beginner's Help and Guides / [Guide] How to get the Native projectile models back.

First off I'd like to point out that this is NOT a cheat. All it's doing is replacing the ingame modified projectile models with those which are used in Native.

And here is how it's done:

  • Find your CRPG-folder. For Steam-Users it's probably going to look like this: \steam\SteamApps\common\mountblade warband\Modules\cRPG
  • Find the file named item_kinds1.txt. That is the file need to edit in order to get our Native projectiles back.
  • Create a backup of item_kinds1.txt in case we screw things up and you wanna get back the original state.
  • Open item_kinds1.txt with a decent editor. Cuz of the file formating the Windows Editor won't cut it. I suggest using this.
  • Now we need to find certain entries in the file: your best bet is using the search function of the editor - I suggest "bolts_flying" as search term.
  • You should now find entries like "bolts_flying_h1", "steel_bolts_flying_h1" and similiar. Replace those entries with "flying_missile". Every entry!
  • Now you can save the file and start up CRPG. Enjoy the old Native projectile models.

Credits for this "fix" go to Shik who was kind enough to give me this hint of editing the file after annoying him with a PM on the forum - Thanks again ;)



Since I am a Crossbow user I did not edit the arrows but as far as I can tell this should work for arrows too. If you use "arrows_flying" as search term in the editor you gonna find entries similiar to the entries described above. I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work as with the bolts by replacing those entries with "flying_missile" too.
It would be nice if some archer could confirm this working for arrows too!

Game Balance Discussion / 1h stab

I just noticed that the stab of my 1h is way slower than it used to be and I was told that all stabs got slowed down.
I understand that pikes/lances had to be slowed down, probably the same for 2h.
I don't understand that you did the same to 1h.
1h should be slightly buffed in speed compared to basicly every heavier weapon and instead it gets slowed down too?
Doesnt make sense and I like to see the speed at least restored, even slightly raised.

Anyone else thinks the same?

I am actually looking for a Arabian Straight Sword, Arabian Guard Sword, Arabian Arming Sword or a Side Sword.
I may consider offers for the Arabian Cavalry Sword, Niuweidao, Liuyedao...
