Thanks everyone for the support!  My most recent video has been far more successful than I had expected, and the feedback has helped me refine it a bit.  I'm going to try to get a cRPG video up periodically, although Hearthstone is probably going to be a primary focus.  I'll need to think of some different cRPG video ideas for the next one though...

Very good guide you put together there.  Quite entertaining and very informative.

Feedback:

• San has an updated character calculator that has the updated WPF...I can't be arsed to find the link though (not on my normal computer).
  
• Not sure what dexterity is (gottem)
  
• There is an easy mode after your first gen.  Sell your loompoint, and become lancer cavalry.

In the top portion of the SS I see you nudged Nikoliar which hurt him, and then he seemed to have retaliated.  I'm not saying that's right but you omit that from your description of what happened, the "whole story". 

In either case I took a look at his ban history, and it came up clean.  I'm not going to issue a ban but I will shoot him a message on the forums with a link to this thread so he knows at least what happened & that he's getting a "warning".  Future rulebreaking may result in a ban.

The only things I learned are: Ascalon is a filthy armor crutcher and MrShine doesn't use an adblocker and probably has a porno virus.

It's funny you mention that because I was really tempted to pull a Joseph Porta and put some questionable tabs at the top of my 'using the website' and 'STF' sections, but /effort.

Hello, I'm MrShine.  cRPG is a tough mod for players new to the Mount & Blade combat system, and the difficulty curve might scare away some people.  But have no fear!  Stick with it and before you know it you'll have spent hundreds of hours playing the mod. 

This video is intended to help give you some basic tips on how to approach your character, what you can expect, and perhaps a few useful tricks to help keep you from being that bloodstain on the battle field...for a little while at least.

If you want to make this list more comprehensive, I suggest a few changes.

- change the 2h/polearm image from the great maul to something else.  Great maul implies crushthrough, which is a different playstyle
-really just break out a few more categories.  2h/crushthrough/polearm/support polearm (longspear/pike)/hoplite.  Those should all be different classes
-include strengths & weaknesses in the list, not just strengths and REALLY BIG strengths (ie 1h shielder strong against crossbow, archer, thrower, weak against crushthrough, cavalry)

The idea is a good one, but it needs a bit more work to be truly useful.

I know now that I'm a dirty self-promoting view-prostitute, but I'm too excited to care so I'm bumping this thread anyways.

I got a few of my Hearthstone video arena guides picked up by www.hearthstoneplayers.com and I'm pretty pumped about it.  Not sure if they're going to take more of my videos but it's a little bit of exposure at least.

cRPG related news: I'm working on my most complex video to date that's going to be a beginner's guide (top 10 tips to surviving the first knight).  It's had more editing & audio work than any of my other videos but I'm hoping to have it out by the end of the week & hopefully you (and newbies) will find it enjoyable.
