We definitely want females characters in the game, 100%, it's big a vital part of the final vision. Right now we don't have a female model nor anyone on the team who can make one, but it's something we want to get as soon as we can (have the means), for now you'll just have to enjoy the sausage fest :P
just add boobs to male model
Also, no boob armor or anything silly like that. It'll be historical, meaning everyone wears the same — though of course some notable females had custom made armors.
only works if game is set in germany(click to show/hide)

Good article, give it a read.
Also: will armor be adjustable to different body shapes & features ? For example - If I want to roleplay someone like Lansamur will this be possible:?(click to show/hide)
A gut slider is very much in the plans :P
Can female characters have like a 30% penalty on everything combat related? Gotta be realistic about things.

Not common true, but what about Boudicca? Burnt down 3 Roman towns, killed 70,000-80,000 Romano-British with her female-led Iceni rebellion. Dont see the balance value in decreasing stats for female characters, maybe RP value but it sounds like the game will be combat-orientated. Warrior Queen all the way (not for me but in general, I only make male characters).Medieval nab :).
EDIT: Joan of arc!
Medieval nab :).
You don't need to look at history to know that women are inferior to men when it comes to physical strength and speed.
From what I managed to find in my quick-search it seems that female warriors during medieval times were not really a common thing, there should be a way to limit their numbers so we don't end up playing a medieval combat simulation with mostly female characters (and yes - they should have some kind of minor strength penalty to be realistic).(click to show/hide)
Mostly Vikings and Easterners (Mongols, Japs and such) were known for taking female warriors to their wars and it was less than 10% of their numbers. Most of the "famous" female warriors were exceptions. Found some interesting stuff here:

Ofc - I'm no expert but I find this topic interesting. Maybe our Vizantologist Zimke knows more about it.
